Swipe for the full tu-tortie-al 🐢

I love the tortie look but do not always want to go through the application/removal of gel so here’s another way to create a tortie nail using jelly shades!

This look has a few steps and needs a bit of patience but the payoff is so worth it!

The only tools you need for this look:
-3 jelly shades & top coat!

What I’m using:
@cirquecolors Amber Jelly, Bonbon Jelly, Memento Mori

Step 1: Apply one coat of your base jelly color

➡️ I’m using Cirque Colors Amber Jelly.

Step 2: While your base color is still wet, dab a darker jelly shade into blobs in whatever pattern you prefer! Then let the mani dry down.

➡️ I’m using Cirque Colors Bonbon jelly

Step 3: Take the same shade you used in step 2 and go back over your previous blobbies to create a darker shade & depth.

*please note none of these steps need to be perfect! The beauty of a tortie is the blend and random placement of colors!

Step 4: WHILE your new blobbies are still wet, use your darkest shade and dab smaller blobs into them. You can also place smaller ones in between or connect blobs together. Let the mani dry!

➡️ I’m using Cirque Colors Memento Mori

Step 5: Sandwich your blobbies with the base color jelly from Step 1.

* additional step : add top coat! I did not use top coat for this mani as I filmed it as soon as it was completed and still juicy.

Ta Da! A beautiful tortie mani!

Midnight feathers, untamed heart 🖤🦢

Growing up in the theatre and studying ballet, Swan Lake has always been my favorite production. So there was no way I wasn’t going to pick up a couple of shades from the Moonlight Ballet Collection from @essie ESPECIALLY this gorgeous black satin that gives a nod to Odile.

The coverage was really good and no I won’t be adding a second coat 🤭
