When our volunteer director, Rivka, lost her daughter Dassi, the pain was unbearable.

But even in her grief, Rivka knew she wanted to do something meaningful in Dassi’s memory - something that could turn her pain into a source of comfort for others.

Having seen firsthand the incredible impact Snoezelen rooms can have on children and adults with special needs, Rivka decided to help raise the funds to create one at Seeach Sod.

And recently, that dream became a reality. Arye Leib Cope, a previous student of Rivka’s husband, together with his family from Manchester generously donated a new Snoezelen room to Seeach Sod, l’iluy nishmat Dassi.

Through Rivka’s love and the Cope family’s generosity, Dassi’s memory will continue to bring comfort and joy to so many. by @seeachsod

They came, they sang, they learned!

The boys from Ashreinu came to hang out with our guys in Beit Shemesh and even had time for a quick visit to our new building. There was plenty of dancing, ice pops, and fun - but they also took the time to learn more about people with special needs, helping build greater understanding. by @seeachsod

For us, it’s not enough for our volunteers to come and spread some simcha. We want them to walk away with it, too.

We want them to experience the impact of a great education, and a strong community.

After making Aliyah with the help of Chaim V’Chessed, this young girl is starting first grade at Seeach Sod!

She (and we!) are so excited for this next stage, where she’ll receive an education that’s right for her, along with the therapy and support she needs to grow, and thrive. by @seeachsod
