POSTS STORIES REELS

Hello Friends - I want to introduce you to “Seeds of Kindness.” My son Teddy and I are on a mission to spread kindness to all. Keeping it simple and with only the purest intentions.

I believe words are beautiful but action is where change happens.
I want to show my son the beauty of “when you do good you feel good, and when you feel good you do good.”

Follow along - we hope to run into you in the neighborhood areas, come say hi! Share our journeys and please share your journeys as well. We truly hope you’ll join us on this mission.

Remember it doesn’t have to be complicated, keep it simple silly. by @seeds_of_kindness

Friends - wonder where I’ve been? Eh I’m sure some yes and no and some probably don’t even know who I am anymore because we followed each other that one time we met somewhere.

Truth is I’m sort of tired of social media only showing the “perfect” of people’s life. Don’t get me wrong - may God bless all of you with all His promises. And my pastor advises us not to air out your dirty laundry - but I feel there needs to be more spaces where the ups and downs of life are shared. Because that’s life.

Like a heartbeat. If it didn’t go up and down it would be a flat line.

Unpolished and Learning was created because the truth is I’m just a human. And if you’re human as well, then we’re all still learning every day. And we’re all just trying to find our inner peace.

So come follow. Come find out where I’ve been. What opened pandora’s box that made me go into hiding and what I’ve learned.

Come be part of something raw, unfiltered and safe. My experiences and your interactions. Come follow @unpolished_and_learning 🦋 by @seeds_of_kindness

On Mother’s Day Teddy wanted to celebrate all the moms in our neighborhood. One small flower. One walk around the block. One little note. Spreading kindness whenever you can. Especially to the moms out there 🌷 by @seeds_of_kindness

You can choose your house
You can choose your neighborhood
You cannot choose your neighbors

I’d place a high price bet we have the best neighbors a family could ask for - and not just on our block, the entire area

We thank God every day for this blessing

Chip is batting the flu, but our wonderful neighbor TJ came to snowplow our driveway and walkway no questions asked

Karma isn’t “good” or “bad” it just is
It’s what you put in, you get back
You don’t know when, how, or what but God promises overflow to come back to you

Suggestion if you can - if you have elderly or sick neighbors and you’re able, help them out today. Whether that’s snowplowing their driveway if you’re in the northeast, or bringing over a home cooked meal if you’re elsewhere. Or simply just send a text or call to see how they are.

Keep it simple silly, and keep your intentions pure 🙏🏻 by @seeds_of_kindness

It’s that time of the year!

Amazon, UPS, USPS, FedEx etc drivers are working extra hard

So are instacart and uber delivery drivers for all those last minute things you forgot for your holiday parties

Teddy and I wanted to show a small appreciation - we can only imagine the stress and demand they’re feeling

A tiny candy cane can go a long way - so can a sweet boy sitting on the bay window waving “thank you” as they walk away

Remember keep it simple silly and your intentions pure. Be kind - it’s your natural state of being and the world deserves to see your beauty. by @seeds_of_kindness

I met Loren in line at our favorite store @organicallyyours waiting to pay for our groceries.

We made an instant connection having an in depth conversation - we both opened up, cried and hugged each other.

She’s been battling multiple cancers for years. Shes a warrior. Even with all the pain, she still smiles and is kind to everyone she speaks to.

I told her whenever she needed anything to call me.
Something I’m teaching Teddy and holding myself to is that words are nice, but actions speak louder.

So when she texted me last week that she had her treatment and needed some help, I kept my word.

We’re all batting something in our life. Be kind always because you really never know. by @seeds_of_kindness

Teddy and I visited @barkfieldroad who is having their 3rd annual Secret Santa for shelter dogs!

You pick a dog from the Santa mailbox

Then shop for them - our favorite part

We had Reggie from @islipanimals

Then @barkfieldroad takes all the Secret Santa gifts and hands delivers them to the shelters in time for Christmas 💜

@barkfieldroad is an East Northport staple and huge piece of the communities heart. Thank you for doing this amazing deed. by @seeds_of_kindness

When you have a piece of your heart walking around out there in the world you have this urge to protect them, as you should.

As much as I want to be Leslie Mann in “This is 40” (if you know that scene you get it 🤣) and settle things myself, the true way to protect our little ones is not to fight their battles but to prepare them.

Speaking the words they may hear at school or in public so they’re not taken back with a traumatic hit. And certainly as much as we want to step in, unless absolutely necessary, we should try and let them handle these situations and truly feel their affirmations.

Affirmations are just words unless you feel and mean them. That is one of the best protection practices you can teach your children for their nervous system and they’ll carry it for life.

Another plus, they will indirectly and subconsciously help the other person who’s speaking those words. Yes! It’s actually planting a seed of kindness. It’s allowing neuroplasticity to take place. Maybe have them question what they’re saying and open up to self-love for themselves. by @seeds_of_kindness
