Raise funds for 🇸🇩 Sudan with us on our second Community Hike with @humanappeal on the Four Waterfalls Trail at Brecon Beacons 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Sudan is the world’s biggest humanitarian crisis with over 33 million people requiring urgent humanitarian aid. Half of Sudan’s population are facing acute hunger and 4 million children are malnourished, including 770,000 at imminent risk of death.

The cradle of the mighty Kingdom of Kush, one of the most advanced civilisations on Earth, where Nubian Black Pharaohs ruled leaving over 250 pyramids as enduring symbols of brilliance. The seat of the Black Sultanate, a major center of faith and learning, serving as the vital bridge that spread Islam across the African continent through scholarship, Sufi orders, and trade routes.
Sudan cannot simply be reduced to statistics and tragedy, Sudan is a witness of the congregation of civilisations.

Highlights of our Iftar for Reverts & Guests 2025/1446

It’s easy to feel powerless watching everything happening in Sudan. This felt like one small way of doing something instead of nothing.

IlHamdillah 🤲🏽 over £4,000 raised for Sudan and more than £10,000 raised collectively for humanitarian efforts in Sudan, Lebanon and Pakistan.

We raised £510 for Sudan’s Emergency Appeal through @seedsofwelfare ❤️🇸🇩

Every penny will go towards helping families who have lost everything, providing food, clean water, healthcare and emergency support.

Thank you so much to everyone who donated. I ended up raising the highest amount in my group, and I truly believe that’s because so many of you know how close Sudan is to my heart. May Allah continue to bless every single person who donated with even more abundance, and reward your generosity towards those in need. Ameen 🤲🏼

Please don’t let Sudan disappear from our conversations. So many of my friends have lost everything, not just their homes but generations of family history. Many families have been displaced, separated from one another, and have faced incredibly difficult circumstances without the security of citizenship or a place to truly call home. ❤️‍🩹

A huge shout out to everyone who organised the hike and everyone who came along. Thank you for bringing such amazing energy and kindness. 🥰 I think I’ve finally found some nature friends, and I can’t wait for more adventures together. Thank you @halimanyomi for inviting me 💋

Registrations close Friday 26th June!

£25 Reg fee covers travel to and from Wales back to London and Oxford with hike guides on the trail. Minimum fundraising amount £200 per hiker.

Seeds of Welfare’s first Community Hike for Gaza on 6th July, in collaboration with Human Appeal was a roaring success! 🇵🇸

A beautiful day with so many beautiful talented people, many who only met each other the first time on this hike ❤️ The most precious memories in life are when we can organise as a collective with a soul to do more for our brothers and sisters suffering across the world.

Thank you to every single one of our formidable, valued participants who went above and beyond to raise crucial funds for Gaza and @helptheworldoxford @active.ayesh for your team’s spirits that kept us going! ❤️

As a collective of active activists we raised an incredible £16,710.93 for all of our chosen initiatives.

We will be raising funds for Palestine 🇵🇸 with Human Appeal, putting the active in activism 💪🏾
