Impacting people’s lives in emerging markets by backing entrepreneurs with know-how, capital and network 🌍
An idea born in Switzerland 🇨🇭

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

In a city of millions, Taufik Zulfigri moves through Jakarta on his own.
He has never liked depending on others to get around.

“I’m the type of person who doesn’t like being chauffeured around. I go everywhere on my own.”

The challenge isn't getting from one neighborhood to another.
It's arriving somewhere new.

A public building. An unfamiliar office. Finding the right room. Finding the restroom. Knowing where you are when there is no one around to ask.

“It’s not that we’re begging for help. We just need someone to act as a navigator. That’s all.”

That simple need inspired @petanetra

Part of the Seedstars alumni community, Petanetra helps people with visual impairments navigate mapped buildings through voice guidance, making unfamiliar spaces more accessible and independent.

For Taufik, independence isn't about doing everything alone.

It's about having the tools to move through the world with confidence.

In Cayambe, Ecuador, there is a place called Upayaku a rural regeneration and innovation hub where La Divina Papaya brings its vision to life.

Meet Evelin Andrango.

Responsible for formulation and dispatch, she is pictured here holding flowers grown not for decoration, but for food.

La Divina Papaya is a bio-enterprise planted, operated, and led by women.
Here, flowers are more than beauty.

They are food.
They nourish pollinators.
They restore ecosystems.
They invite a different way of thinking about how we grow and how we eat.
“Come flores.”
Eat like a pollinator.

At La Divina Papaya, regeneration starts from the soil and expands to the community.
Pictured here are the women behind this vision:

Violeta Moreno Wray, Co-founder & CEO
Daniela Moreno Wray, Co-founder, Projects & Strategic Alliances Coordinator
Natalia Wray, Co-founder, CFO & Impact
Patricia Andrango, Process Lead
Evelin Andrango , Formulation & Dispatch Lead

Together, they are helping shape more sustainable and resilient food systems through agroecology and regenerative agriculture.

From Ecuador, they cultivate edible flowers without agrochemicals, safeguarding the health of both people and soil.

La Divina Papaya is part of the Seedstars alumni community.

In his hands, açaí harvested from the forest.

A part of everyday life in the Amazon.

The story of Ivanildo, known to everyone as Júnior, begins in the interior of Pará, where he grew up watching the forest change.

Opportunities were limited.

Cattle ranching. Logging. Mining.

Like many others, he followed that path.

“I worked at the sawmill with my uncle. I spent time in the mine.
That was what was available.”

Years later, his path looks different.

Today, Júnior is a coordinator in Roraima, working on projects that restore what once felt lost.

Açaí is part of his culture.

Part of his daily life.

Part of what connects people to the land.

But now, it is also part of something bigger.

Courageous Land, a venture from the Seedstars International Ventures portfolio, based in Brazil, is building biodiverse agroforestry systems designed to restore ecosystems while creating sustainable income for communities.

From the Amazon, they are working to reverse climate change through nature-based solutions, combining biodiversity, carbon removal, and premium crop production.

At Seedstars, we work alongside ventures like Courageous Land to help them grow.

Across emerging markets, building a company is rarely straightforward.

Limited resources.
Unpredictable systems.
Constant change.
And still entrepreneurs find a way.

They adapt.
They build.
They grow.

At Seedstars, we’ve seen this up close.
And it’s time we start documenting it. by @seedsta.rs

For years, we’ve shared events, programs, partnerships and milestones.
But Seedstars has always been about something deeper.
We are taking a step back to show what truly matters.
