Some of my absolute favorite memories happened at the #OCFair with my GrandAngels.

There’s nothing like the rides, the silly games, all the delicious food, and—best of all—just laughing and spending time together. Those are the moments I’ll hold in my heart forever. 💕

It’s funny how the years go by so quickly, but one amazing day at the Fair can stick with you forever. 🥰

Now it’s your turn—what do you remember most about the OC Fair? 🎠🍭🎶 Drop your favorite Fair memory in the comments, or share a photo and tag a friend who made those days extra special!

(Thank you @carolynhimes for these precious photos and the wonderful memories they hold! 💕)

Just wait for it… 🚂🔥

You can feel the ground tremble before you even catch a glimpse—and then, all at once, there it is. The legendary Big Boy charging through the Feather River Canyon, looking like it just rolled out of another era.

My niece managed to capture the moment perfectly—the plume of steam, the echo bouncing off the canyon walls, the raw power of history thundering past right before your eyes. It’s the kind of sight that makes you pause, listen, and just soak it all in.

It’s not just a train—it’s a living, breathing piece of American history.

Ever receive a gift that keeps getting better every day? 🌺

This amaryllis was a gift, and watching it grow and bloom has been such a joy. From a simple bulb to bold, show-stopping flowers, it’s the kind of plant that feels thoughtful, elegant, and special without being fussy.

That’s what makes amaryllis such a perfect gift. They’re beautiful hostess gifts, a lovely treat for yourself, and an easy way to send something meaningful to friends or family. Even better, they can be mailed and still arrive in time for Christmas, making them ideal when you want to send cheer without worrying about fragile arrangements.

Amaryllis are low-maintenance, long-lasting, and bring instant holiday warmth to any space. Place them on a kitchen counter, entry table, or desk and let them do their thing.

Star at the Crown

At the highest branch,
a single star waits.
It doesn’t shout. It simply holds
a small, steady promise.

We place it there each year
to remind ourselves to look up,
even when the days feel short
and the cold gets in our bones.

The star says:
there’s a way through the dark.
A point to guide you,
even if you can’t name it yet.

And maybe that’s why we lift it
as high as our hands can reach—
so hope has a place to land,
and light has a place to begin.

Sometimes the simplest things shine the brightest. ✨

On this day in 1965, “A Charlie Brown Christmas” aired on national TV for the first time. Charles Schulz insisted on keeping Scripture in the story even though many said it was too risky. He believed the moment mattered, and he held his ground.

A year later, the special won both an Emmy and a Peabody. And today it still tells the same message of good news and great joy to millions who watch it every year.

Here’s to quiet courage, timeless truth, and a little boy who reminded the world what Christmas is really about. 🎄
