The Genesis of Bandai Promos.
This is the legendary 1988 Bandai SD Gundam Carddass No. 0 “Musha Trio” Gold Prism.
With Bandai now standing as a global TCG powerhouse, this card represents the absolute ground zero of their promotional history:
• The Genesis #0: One of the earliest documented uses of the Card No. 0 promo designation.
• The First Lottery / Limited Card (comic bombom) distributed strictly as an exclusive mail-in sweepstakes prize capped at Limited 3,000.
• The 1988 Debut Era: Printed during the foundational launch year of the Carddass format.
• Boss-Tier Power: Showcasing the full Musha Trio on full-bleed gold prism with the ultimate vintage HP 500 stat.
Nearly 40 years later, finding an authentic survivor is nearly impossible let alone authenticated in a PSA 7 slab. Zero copies available on the open market.

Only 3,000 ever made.

1990 Weekly Jump Limited Carddass “Adventurers” prism promo for the original Dragon Quest anime.
Toriyama art. Never sold in stores.
Still one of the rarest DQ cards in existence

•Extreme rarity: Strictly limited to 3,000 winners of a Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine lottery. It was never available for retail purchase.
• Historical timing: Released in 1990 during the peak of the original Dragon Quest boom (right after DQIII became a cultural phenomenon and while the first DQ anime was airing).
• Akira Toriyama original art: Full party shot of Abel + companions facing Baramos one of the nicer official Toriyama illustrations from that era.
• Collector status: Among Carddass and vintage DQ collectors, this is considered one of the true “grail” pieces, on the same level as the famous 1989 Dragon Ball Limited 3000 Jump promos.
• Condition sensitivity: Because it was a mail-away prize and is prism, clean examples are especially scarce and command high prices when they surface. by @seemygrails

Can this really be Goku first appearance? From 1982, 83’ Toriyama Akira Hozonkai Official Member Card
A piece of early Dragon Ball history. This wasn’t just a fan item it was a membership card issued by the Toriyama Akira Preservation Society, a small community created to support Toriyama‑sensei long before his work became a global phenomenon.

Back of the card — translated:

• This card recognizes you as an official member of the Preservation Society.
• If lost or damaged, it cannot be reissued — keep it safe.
• Continue to warmly support Toriyama‑sensei forever.
• If you see someone else with this card, become friends.
• Show it proudly and help spread the existence of the Preservation Society to the world.

A relic from a time when fandom was built through real community not algorithms, not social media, but shared passion and connection. by @seemygrails

This isn’t just a rare pull, it’s a piece of Carddass history. Released as a lottery prize commemorating Part 2 in 1989, it was the first Carddass card to carry a border design, the first prism card of the Z era, and the very first card of any kind to feature Gohan. Toriyama himself colored the artwork a quiet, pre-Raditz moment of Gohan riding a dragon to school, sweating and rushing, while Goku lounges without a care.

Out of thousands of Dragon Ball cards produced over the decades, only 3,000 people ever held this one in their hands. That’s the kind of scarcity that turns a trading card into a museum piece and for Gohan collectors, it’s ground zero. by @seemygrails
