I had a great time today sharing my design & stencilling process for my ceramics at the @studio_space_ottawa open studio 🏺

I worked on my spoons this time 🥄

You can see the many layers of my heritage all over these spoons.

with patterns from headdresses to mud cloths to coffee art to architectural geometry.

It’s all over the place.
Just like I am.
I’m gonna keep it that way 🥰

14 years of adventure, learning, understanding, questioning, recovery, care, challenge, warmth, courage, work, joy & lots of good food with this artist of a human.
I would be nowhere without her.

When I’m dead, cremate me with one of her sandwiches, spread my ashes in the soil of a tree, and bring sandwiches when you visit.

I love you, comrade.

I’ll be at ArtsPark with my studio mates this year!
All of @seenartisan sales will be going towards funding the purchase of our studio kiln, Calcifer!

📍366 Parkdale Ave Ottawa, ON
📆 Saturday June 13, 2026
⏳10am - 4pm

If you can’t make it, but still want to contribute, please consider gifting whatever you can via the 🔗 link in bio. Most of my work is on hold until we can purchase our beloved Calcifer & fix it.
Any help at all is very appreciated 🫶🏽 by @seenartisan
