“I’m so glad she kissed a girl!”This day was SO anticipated! Endless inspiration and mood boards were sent, videos of ideas were shared, and deep conversations were had about how important this day is to them. I got to really know them before ever meeting in person, and once I arrived was quickly welcomed. When I say they have the best friends, I mean they have the BEST friends. Their friends were so involved in making this day perfect and stress free. Mike was the officiant, Ava made the bouquets, Leah did the ceremony florals, Bryson carried their vow books, Abby had the rings, Mira did Analiz’s makeup and sat out in the heat of a mid July day making bows.. these are the friends you want in your corner. They have friends like this because they love this way. Both were constantly making sure everyone was happy, offering helping hands and making sure that their people know how much they loved them. They had a private gift exchange with the moms and the dads, then a surprise gift exchange with their bridal party as well. Yes, it was really dusty in the room for that!The most important part of the day was Maddie and Annie being happy. They laughed, they cried, they danced, they cried, they cheered, and cried some more. The morning started with a private reading of devastatingly beautiful vows. These vows told of their journey of self discovery, and falling into a love that has no fear, no boundaries, and no limitations within eachother. A love that is safe, fulfilling, supportive, powerful, understanding, patient, loyal- ALL of the beautiful things. A love that should be shown off! A love to be proud of! Maddie and Annie have found in each other what people spend their entire lives looking for. Real, honest, true love. I hope everyone gets to experience this. A guest described them to me as “two puzzle pieces that fit together perfectly” and I couldn’t agree more. They are the perfect match.As Maddie said in her vows “I will find you in every life time” and we all know you two always will 🤍 Thank you for trusting me with your day. ISABEL + SYLVIA 🤍 BRB moving to Boston so I can hang out with these two everyday! OK WOW what an amazing morning spent running around on the beach with you both! Isabel is one of the sweetest girls I’ve ever met. I deeply mean that too. A fellow OBX girlie, she has supported me in every random side quest I’ve done over the years- and actually used to model for me way back in the day, when I was freshly out of college and sewing clothing for the local markets! She is truly beautiful inside and out: bubbly, friendly, empathetic, with a radiant personality. Seeing that she found her person makes me SO happy!Sylvia, even tho we only got to hang out for an hour or so, I quickly learned how easy going, compassionate, funny, and supportive you are.
