I can't stop reminiscing about the unforgettable experience at Caren Tea Ceremony in Kyoto, Japan. 🍵🇯🇵

From the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful traditions to the warm hospitality and authentic tea ceremony, every moment felt like stepping into a living piece of Japanese history. It was truly one of the highlights of our Japan journey and a memory I'll treasure forever.

Kyoto captured my heart, but Caren Tea House gave me an experience that touched my soul.

Today was jam-packed with adventure and culture! I started the morning strong with a full-body workout at the Holiday Inn gym, surrounded by inspiring art decor throughout the hotel 🎨💪.

Next, we headed into the heart of Mérida for a city center walking tour, exploring the rich history of Centro and Independence Square 🏛️. From there, we journeyed an hour outside the city to the breathtaking Hacienda Sotuta de Peón, where we learned the traditional process of making rope from the Henequén (Agave/Sisal) plant.

The highlight? A scenic horse-pulled flatbed ride leading us to a crystal-clear cenote, where we cooled off with a refreshing swim 🐴💦. We wrapped up with a delicious regional lunch full of authentic Yucatán flavors.

Our evening took us to the Tren Maya headquarters, where we were treated like VIPs and got a sneak peek into their new luxury train packages, excursions, and incredible gastronomic offerings 🚄✨.

What a day filled with wellness, history, culture, and unforgettable experiences!

Traveling through Mérida and Cancún over the next five days has already been such an adventure—thanks to Tren Maya and Mexico Tourism Board (@mexicoturistiando) for hosting us as we explore the rich gastronomy, culture of the Yucatán region, and of course, the highly anticipated Mayan Train (Tren Maya).

Day one was all about arrival and settling in. After a smooth transfer with Tren Maya, we checked into the Holiday Inn Mérida, where we were greeted with refreshing welcome drinks and the kind of warm hospitality Mexico is known for. Once settled, we headed out to LaArboleda Restaurant —and let me tell you, the food was fabulous! From delicious flavors to great conversation with fellow travel advisors, it set the perfect tone for the trip.

The night ended with a peaceful rest in Holiday Inn’s cozy beds, recharging us for an early start the next morning. If day one was just the beginning, I can’t wait to share what’s next!
