I think we often recognise a place by what it gives us permission to do.

To slow down.
To think.
To watch.
To be alone without feeling lonely.
To have a conversation that doesn’t need an agenda.

So next time you walk into somewhere you’ve never been and suddenly feel safe, inspired or strangely at ease — don’t rush past it.

Look around.

What is it about the place?

The light?
The sounds?
The people?
The pace?
The way nobody seems to be performing?

Maybe you’ll discover that what makes a place memorable isn’t always what you came to see.

Sometimes, it’s how the place makes you feel like yourself.
