I came across a strap maker in Hong Kong, @k_kittttt , recommended by a local friend

Kit is meticulous, sincere, and clearly passionate about what he does. Watching him work was a reminder that real passion isn’t loud it’s about caring deeply and showing up with intention every single day. What I really appreciated, he never pushes alligator straps just because they cost more. Instead, he takes the time to understand your preference and recommends from there. Honest, thoughtful, and refreshingly uncommercial.

I went to him a little too late and had to ask for a rush. He very kindly made an exception three straps done in 24 hours but asked me to help manage expectations if I were to share about this. This isn’t something he can (or wants to) do all the time.

One thing to note, Kit speaks Cantonese only. If you don’t, don’t worry. He’ll find his own way to communicate with you. Not everything can be said perfectly, but with patience, he always makes it work.

Sharing his story because passion like this deserves to be seen. Also, caring about what you do still matters. ♥️

A DECADE AT CARTIER

This watch was gifted to me to mark my 10-year work anniversary. A small detail on the dial reads “10 Ans”. On the caseback: Cartier à HS.

It’s not just about the watch it’s about the years behind it.
The learning, pressure, growth, pride, doubt, and passion, all measured not in time, but in commitment. Watches tell time, but they also hold chapters and memories.

Grateful for the journey, and for the Maison that trusted me with it. 🤍
