So, why does Astrology matter in the Garden?

Well, I want to be clear and state, there is nothing pseudoscience about this interconnection between the knowledge of the cycles of the sky and of the garden.

The book Astrology in the Garden breaks this relationship down in a story that tells how 1 plant in 1 food forest garden, expresses each sign of the Zodiac over the course of the year.

Why? Because the 12 signs of the Zodiac represent the natural progression of the 12 months of the year. It's The Circle of Life and it can be broken down in many ways, though when it's by 12, 30 (360) degree sections, it is the study of Tropical Astrology.

The Astrological Guide to Food forestry is the follow up to Astrology in the Garden because I wanted to make sure folks knew how to use the knowledge of the Zodiac to plant their garden. It's using the seasons to plan your food forest and it's the most basic thing every gardener comes to know.

Once you find this connection, you soon realize it can be found all over the place, even within yourself.

These 2 books are made to enlighten all who read them to the patterns of the lives we all lead and how they work together in perfection, one necessarily completing the other.

My writing hands will pause now. I've put 15 + books into the world and it's time to rest. These 2, I believe, can do plenty work while I take a break.

Founder Fridays | Episode 1 🎥

I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time.

No fancy editing. No perfect lighting. Sometimes I’ll be in my car, sometimes at the farm, sometimes at the shop. I’d rather spend my time growing this mission than trying to make the perfect video.

So every Friday, I’m taking a few minutes to share the heart behind Farm 2 Farmacy—why we started, what we’ve learned, and why I believe food has the power to change lives.

She’ll be 16 this week, and this was her 1st concert!! 🥹❤️ 16 years together. She’s already claimed she’s moving to the east coast at 18… 16 years together with my absolute favorite girl in the world. Sweet, funny, kindhearted, confident, strong yet super soft babygirl. You’ve always been my leading inspiration to get myself right. How can I better show up for you… how can I heal for you… you’ll be a woman soon … what can I improve in me so you can see your mother in her highest form. I’ve done my best these last 16 years. It didn’t all work out how I wanted it to, though I know we’ve overcome some of the deepest wounds of our matrilineal lineage, together. Last year you told me… mom you know what, if I raise my children like you raised us and then I make sure they do the same with their children, and they do the same with their children, in 1000 years, our family will be totally different from what you come from. … 🤯

1st of all, 1000 years vision is crazy and you gotta be on my team forever with that kinda insight 😍🙌👀💪 and yes, baby, yes exactly. We don’t need to be perfect, just better than before and yes our future selves will reflect the work.

A short montage of my recent days and short hair. I’ve never rocked a pixie cut (is what the girls are calling it) and I want to remember when I did. So much to be amazed by. So much growth in just a few weeks (hair and me).

Many of you know Farm 2 Farmacy, but many of you don’t know me.

As our Farm 2 Farmacy community continues to grow, I’ve realized that many of you know what we do, but not necessarily who I am or why this work is so deeply personal to me.

So I wanted to introduce myself.

I’m Seher, founder of Farm 2 Farmacy.

I’m an author, herbalist, chef, food forest gardener, and lifelong student of the connection between food and health. Before Farm 2 Farmacy, I owned an herb shop and a juice bar, and for more than 15 years I’ve worked in food, wellness, and community building.

But the truth is, my passion for food as medicine wasn’t built in a business.

It was built at home.

This video was taken in 2018 of my children and I singing a song we made up in our kitchen: “What do we eat in our house? Plants!” 🌱

My children have been homeschooled their entire lives, and when they were young, our kitchen was truly the heart of our home. We cooked from scratch, explored foods from around the world, gardened, learned, laughed, and spent countless hours together around food. They did art in the kitchen while I cooked. We danced, sang, and built memories over shared meals.

The kitchen wasn’t just where meals were made.

It was where connection was made.

Those years shaped my belief that food is more than fuel… it is culture, medicine, community, and care.

These three humans fueled my fire and pushed me beyond limits I never knew I had. They inspired me to become a warrior for real food, real community, and real healing.

Farm 2 Farmacy was born from a simple belief: before we go out into the world to fulfill our purpose, we must first be nourished.

Because healthy communities begin in kitchens.

Thank you for being here and for being part of this journey. I’m excited to share more of our story with you in the months ahead. ❤️

If you know me, you know I don’t do too many sunrises. Sunsets are more my thing. A natural night owl, born as the sun shifted away from the land of my origin…

You also know I thrive in hard work. I’m not the woman who enjoys leisure and too much down time. They both happen in my days, though I just don’t feel aligned with my purpose in leisure. It’s in production that I feel gods plan playing out. We’re all different… this is my truth.

Though these sunrises I’m seeing weekly now that the season is shifting and I’m working 24+ hour days, they’re giving me something. I used to see them years ago watching the sky until sunrise. The gaze resets me and powers me through the last third of my shift. Tunes me back into the energy of going to work as the streets begin to fill again.

The gratitude to be able to work for what I feel within, to be physically, mentally, emotionally prepared to show up, with customers to serve, a team to support, a space to execute in… for me, this is what I dream of. Is everything perfect? Well that depends on your definition of perfection. To me imperfect and perfect are both guaranteed, both required for continuation. I’m experiencing both daily, for sure. Pressed to continue to grow, change, rewire my nervous system for new tomorrows. Bc one day I won’t be walking out of this door to sun gaze at 5am, sweaty, achy and proud. One day, today’s challenges will be yesterday’s memories of overcoming and I’ll be onto the next lessons ahead.

Nostalgia is something I’ve always enjoyed… I’ve recouped, now it’s time for some more work! Just so much gratitude for these moments and the opportunities that led me here. It was a big week for Farm 2 Farmacy and for myself. Thank you to ALL who keep showing up and supporting this souls dream. Please know your choices fuel me daily. by @seher7even

My friends are always telling me … you need to do something for you … you’re always doing for others, what about you? Have fun. Self care. You.

I did something. It was fun. Shoot, it as exhilarating. I overcame some internal anxieties and I became a cloud for just a bit… as above, so below. My love affair with the sky has always been, even before things got heated with the Earth. Somehow, this perspective makes everything make sense. The Birds Eye, my Aquarius Moons truest desire. 7500 ft above in the smallest plane I’ve seen and I got to control this thing!!!

What a crazy day it was … you never know when your last moment this round will be … I’m going to keep giving my remaining moments all of me and not worry too much more about all the moments I could fail, fall, feel dumb or weak or wrong. This life is fleeting… I have so much love to get out, just so much to get out. So many more things … I feel like I’m just getting started. And yet, each moment is all I really got. I’m so grateful for the humans that keep reminding me who I am and walk this journey with me. I love you.

May the friends that have moved beyond this realm guide us through their inspiration… May we feel encouraged to literally give this life our all, our full effort, our open hearts, our welcoming minds, hugs, kisses, forgiveness, faithfulness, trust, compassion… May we just never give up and keep trying until that day. My passion for being alive is rooted in my ability to never give up, to always find something to be grateful for and in the absolute beauty I find each time I open my eyes. The Earth, the sky, the humans, plants, insects, elements … all of it. What a thing to witness. Thankful for the next day and each other one I arrive in.
