LES MÉTAMORPHOSES DE L'ESPRIT

Une animation d'une trentaine de secondes, entre dessin frame par frame sur Krita, stop-motion d'un livre (Métamorphoses d'Ovide) qui s'ouvre et extraits du ballet Métamorphoses de @pietragalla_officiel, le tout sur la musique de @chapelierfoumusic, Les métamorphoses du vide.

En partant des Métamorphoses d'Ovide, j'ai choisi de représenter 4 personnifications qui traversent tout le récit : Invidia (l'Envie), Fames (la Faim), Somnus (le Sommeil) et Fama (la Renommée), réinterprétées à ma manière, comme autant de figures encore bien présentes aujourd'hui.

Chaque personnage porte une couleur et un détail qui la définit : les mains couvertes de l'Envie, la bouche cachée de la Faim, les yeux entre veille et sommeil de Somnus, la couronne de la Renommée.

Le mouvement répété fait un petit clin d'œil au zootrope, et le choix de la danse comme base d'animation est aussi un hommage aux études de mouvement d'Eadweard Muybridge.

Un projet mixed-media, entre dessin, photographie et danse. 🎞️

It's been a long time that I have this drawing in my gallery and also that I haven't post anything 👀

Thanks to @thecaprica for the inspiration !!! Love what this artist do ! Beautiful work and creativity !!!

Anyway, that's my take on Grover's dress based on Book 2 of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. I tried my best to look after multiple references that I hope are faithful to traditional Indian wedding dress. This design is based on Banarasi saree style inspired with aari embroidery 🥻

Let me present to you my version of @funkymonjiro and @myartspace2 challenge 🌟. It's about making a @genshinimpact 's character like they are in 1980. For me, it's Navia, our beloved girlboss from the Spina di Rosula of Fontaine ⚓ You can see the reference I took in the next slides (as well as close-ups) but I will explain it a little more : The style I drew is mostly inspired by the "New Romantics" fashion mouvement (and totally that for the makeup) especially from France and UK. It was an answer to the punk mouvement from the 70's making it more glamour and adopted by David Bowie, Adam Ant or Vivienne Westwood, and it's really androgynous too. 1980's fashion was also the return of Haute Couture with classy but out of the norm clothes like Lady Diana. Finally, the "jacket" is inspired by the business powerful woman clothing that really start in the 80's Europe and North America.
I hope my Navia and personal interpretation of 80's Fashion please you (and that my English or Fashion knowledge isn't too bad 😅)
