What a treat it was to see an original 6217-8001 (62 MAS) in such brilliant museum quality condition. Thanks again to the Seiko UK team for that pleasure. Nice to see this one first in Ginza Tokyo and now in London!

It was great to then handle the latest modern interpretation of this classic in the European exclusive colourway. Seiko have always been great with colours but this combo of the deep teal green and gold markers nails it.

The bezel finish on these SPB models is awesome as well and along with the slightly thinner case I’m not surprised why these are popular.

Some more Seiko newness I got a good hands on with in London along with @watch_collecting_brit .

Those who know me already know I’m pretty smitten with my mate Rhys’ new Alpinist in green. Something about those gilt trappings and pops of red on the internal bezel really do something for me sat on that glorious green backdrop.

I saw this beauty across the table - although super similar this one punches in an additional GMT hand complication and some numbers on the bezel which over complicate it in only the best way!

A new strap arrived yesterday, gifted to me by the lovely guys from Seiko.

Dark blue lightweight 'Hansou' silicone strap 20mm R03L012J0.

Great quality and matches perfectly with my Prospex GMT SBEJ021 JDM. 🌊🔵

A truly awesome gift from the folks at Seiko arrived today and it’s something that I’ve long wanted to get hold of.

This is the waffle rubber (in 19mm lug) that came with the beautiful SLA017 a few years back now. A perfect wear on the 62mas and one of the original offerings back in the day I believe.

The quality of this is to be expected from upper end Seiko. Great rubber quality, suppleness, reinforced springbar tubes, black coated signed keeper and a quality finished buckle.

To say that I’m chuffed is an understatement. Thanks again guys.

Another awesome recently released piece we got to see at the recent Seiko event at Japan House London.

This Edo purple colour totally rocks on the sunburst finish of the dial if you ask me. A real stand out that definitely will garner attention.

Fantastic event organised by the folks at Seiko in Japan House.
Got to see some embargo’d pieces as well as some awesome new releases I can share including this lovely blue Speedtimer.

This wears excellent at basically 39mm and 12mm thick. The colour choices for the hands, dial and dial furniture were fun but subtle. That steel bezel 😮‍💨.

Always a pleasure to catch up with @watch_collecting_brit for a Seiko Session!
