Stories live within us, waiting to be told. As a writer-director, I’m driven to bring these narratives to life – especially those exploring coming-of-age journeys, the complexities of parenthood, and the resilience of the human spirit.

My 2024 director’s showreel showcases the transformative power of filmmaking. Each project began as a spark of imagination, meticulously crafted into the visuals you see today. This wouldn’t have been possible without @metfilmschool and I’m grateful for that. 🤌🏻

The call to action: Are you a musician with a vision for your next music video? A filmmaker seeking a collaborator for a short film or a captivating ad campaign? If your creative spark aligns with mine, let’s connect and weave a story together!

Every filmmaker has a different journey. This is mine.

I genuinely believe that spending time in different roles on set helps. Whether it’s being a DA, an AD, a script supervisor, or anything else, every role teaches you something. It helps you understand how a set functions, appreciate the people around you, and navigate your own set better when you’re eventually leading one.

Because filmmaking is a team sport.

As for this reel, it exists because someone randomly decided to point a camera at me (after I begged). 😭

Is this a perfect edit? Probably not.

But I figured that in this day and age, professionally packaging yourself, marketing yourself, and putting yourself out there is part of the job.

So here’s a tiny snapshot of my journey so far.

And for the record, if the right project comes along, I’m still more than happy to jump in as a DA, AD, or script supervisor. 🎬 taken in Film city mumbai by @sejal_dound

They say your Champagne Birthday is when the stars align.

I turned 27 on the 27th, and suddenly, the whole night felt like a perfectly poured glass of bubbly 🥂, a little wholesome, a lot of cute, and completely 2000’s-styled nostalgia.

Maybe the only thing better than dancing on tables is realizing your best chapter is just beginning.

From all those years of playing house where you always called the shots as the bride, wife, or mom, to seeing the real magic unfold... this day was everything we imagined and more ✨. @black.pe_rl

Sorry @heyrum_ , but March 2nd, 2025, is officially etched in our hearts as “Shamolina’s Special Day” ❤️.

P.S: It’s rare for me to agree with my dad 🤔, but there will be no *Kanyadaan* here 😂, so join us as we welcome YOU to the wonderfully unconventional yet annoyingly dramatic Dound family. 🤷🏻‍♀️💚
