When we lost our first baby this day two years ago, every night since I prayed and believed for the day we would see God redeem what we had lost.

Two years later, I’m holding the sweetest reminder that God heard every prayer, saw every tear, and was faithful through every moment of waiting.

These song lyrics means so much to me —

Every story that’s good has a whole lot of grief. And I’ll bet you’ll look back, when you see it someday saying “That season sucked, but it wasn’t a waste.” All the tears sown in silence, not a one was in vain. Cause you’re holding that promise, wasn’t it worth the wait?

This last week we had the joy of welcoming our daughter Palmer June into the world.

I watched my wife absolutely battle through three days of labor and I genuinely could not be more in awe of her. Her resolve, her courage, her strength through the whole thing. And especially the way she leaned on the Lord through every part of it. Something I’ll never forget.

Just hours after Palmer was born everything shifted so fast. What was pure joy turned into chaos as she was rushed to the NICU and then had to be transferred to another hospital for more testing and a potential surgery.

Before they transferred her, the team of nurses and doctors asked if we wanted to pray as a family. We laid our hands on our little girl and cried out to Jesus for healing.

By the grace of God, and I truly believe through the prayers of so many people who were praying with us, Palmer is now in perfect health and no surgery was needed.

We saw the hand of God move on our behalf in a way we’ll never forget!

This girl is a fighter and she already has my whole heart.

A MIRACLE IN THE MAKING!
