A very spontaneous improvisation I did on the 4th of July this year. I wanted to avoid the “holiday” given a burgeoning understanding of the US regime’s complicity and enablement of multiple genocides and wars around the world, but this landmark of time begets of me and my lineage whether I agree or not. I chose this song as a protest, and a channel of rage ran its course, to the effect of proving to be a hex towards patriarchal figures of destruction and perverse egocentricity. My dancing is indeed just a channel for things beyond myself, this much became clearer when the music started and I entered the stage. An anger I had never felt while performing nor allowed to run its course in a context as such- someone or something was clearly speaking through me.

I am absolutely beaming from OBOC 2026. Returning to @countertechnique feels a lot like coming home- to my body, to gentleness, to rigor, to a community full of incredible people who encourage and support each other, to the joy of dancing with others in space. I am immensely grateful to every single person whom I shared love, dance, sweat, tears, conversations, contemplations, and realizations with. I will cherish our time in these studios together for years to come.

Humongous gratitude towards @anoukavandijk, @elitinac, @gimnaye & @okayloveyoumissyou for sharing all your wisdom and eliciting epiphanies in me. It is an inspiration to learn from such a powerful group of women.

Thank you to @hennyjurriensstudio & @chassedancestudios for hosting this magic every year!

MARE is a site-specific dance performance created and performed by Selby Jenkins. It explores the transformation story of a woman into a horse that must make sense of herself in her new body. This transformation symbolizes and comments on the coming-of-age as a woman in the modern era, unfolding layers of imagination, memory, and poignant sociopolitical resonance.

I had such an amazing time in Lausanne this weekend, and I want to thank the whole team of Garden Parties for hosting me and making me feel so welcomed, and for all the work that they put into the festival. June 25th, 2026 marked 28 laps around the sun which means approx. the 4th cell regeneration to occur in this body since they happen every 7 years (not entirely backed by science, but feels pertinent).

This last year, and honestly the last couple years of my life, have shaken many foundations I thought I could justifiably build myself upon. Be it other people, substances, thought and behavioral patterns, et al. It’s difficult to even describe the amalgamation of shifts that have avalanched into an ocean of difference I feel in my body and brain. Sobriety has been the biggest guiding light in this time, teaching me that I can trust myself and that I don’t need to carry everything on my shoulders all the time. That I can’t carry everything on my shoulders and that life is worth living one day at a time with people and things that nourish me. I am so grateful for a body that continues, and is allowed to continue, living and lapping up the sweetness that is fearless and all-encompassing love.

May another year bring me more capacity to use my talents and gifts for the propulsion of a tender humanity.

I can’t believe it’s already been 2 weeks since we concluded this creation and run of Medusa @lamonnaie.demunt 🐍🌬️

To be a part of the creation of an opera is an absolute gift, like watching a whole universe be born. Amazing music written by @iainbellmusic, direction by Lydia Steier, and musical direction by @michiel.delanghe.

Missing this incredible team of ladies and all of the mountains (and/or wagons) we scaled together, hand-in-hand. My first time working in the opera and you all made it unbelievably special- I’m forever blessed to know you starchildren. Missing regie too :’)

Enormous thank you to choreographer & assistant director @tabathamcfadyen for her unwavering dedication to us dancers and for making this production lighthearted and meaningful, amongst the gravity of the story we were embodying.

An experience of a lifetime. Let’s do it again, soon? 💫

dear april

you are consistently one of my hardest months every year. call it fire, call it etching, call it buzzing around like bees, call it old habits die hard, call it reconciling anniversaries. I am grateful every year I make it through April, it holds memories most likely beyond my own integration.

a not so long ago nor forgotten artistic residency @tictacartcentre in February 2026 behind the scenes.

I had one week of sublime and luxurious time for experimentation and research, to which I created a new solo of recycled parts that goes by the name of ‘second degree burn adaptations’.

What emerged so quickly and fluently in this residency was my continued interest of calling out to my heritage, and my interest in embodying memories of mine or imagined of my lineage. Maybe in an effort to stay connected while I live far from family and familiar places, and definitely in an effort to recover and channel the stories of my loved ones.

This solo combined reenacting and imagining movements from my parents spanning different phases of their lives, reincorporating and obfuscating my background of tap dance, and healing a second degree burn wound from a few years ago. All interspersed throughout my recognizable and glaring growing pains.

I feel so grateful to have had this time and space, and appreciate Tictac for hosting me so generously.
