Dear mom,
Today marks three years without you. I don’t want to get all sappy because that’s the last thing you would have wanted. However, your physical absence is so painful. At times, it baffles me that this is reality. No one prepares you for how to deal with grief. I’ve learned through this time that we grieve so much because we love so much. I miss your hugs, laugh, smile, scolding, or even asking you for boy advice the most. Trying to learn to do the life thing without your guidance, it’s hard not to feel lost. It comforts me that I still have you within me, that this is a spiritual connection. As well as having amazing friends and family for my support system. I hope to share the light of love of you every day and love life as effortlessly as you did. You’ve positively impacted so many people; that is something I find so inspiring. You always told me to make an adventure out of everything, and I carry that with me every day. I miss you and love you so much. I’m so proud to be your daughter. Shout out to my bad ass mom (2nd pic reference) the raddest angel ever!

happy birthday momma, i miss you every single day. i wish i could be hearing your laugh today and singing you happy birthday. There are no words to describe how this past 5 months have been without you and i just know this comes with a long journey ahead of me.
