I consider myself very lucky that @selenavyle and I were able to shoot these images together as part of the exhibition!

Nicky Nasrallah / Selena Vyle
2026-03-10
Pronouns : Any
Nikon Z8

I wanted to work with Nicky, because he’s such an outspoken voice in the queer community, and especially in support of Palestine. I had an idea to use the keffiyeh in the foreground as a frame, and we made sure to feature their Lebanese cedar necklace. For shot two, I printed the pattern on transparency to use as a gobo.

This shoot was earlier in the exhibition production and we tried four looks in total (!!!). This was right before deciding I needed to shoot a ton of new work, and wisely scaled back the deliverables and scope for each shoot lol.

This was also my first video interview, and really confirmed it was a worthwhile addition to the show.

Thanks for the BTS and assistance @ravneetsaguvisuals

HAPPY PRIDE MONTH!! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

When thinking about who would perfectly represent Pride & its very important history, @selenavyle was the only & perfect option!

Pride was & continues to be a protest. None of us are free until we are all free. Our liberation as queer & Trans people here in Canada is directly linked to the liberation of all people across the world.

This photo was inspired by the many photos of queer & Trans icons like Sylvia Rivera & Marsha P Johnson; trailblazers in the queer & Trans liberation movements!

Shoutout to @_qweenton for all the amazing photos from our 2026 calendar! There are still 6 months of the year left! We have limited quantities left at @mensroomtoronto! Get yours while you still can!

Who do yall want to see in the 2027 drag calendar?! Tag them below!!

🤔 What questions are you asking your city council candidates?

I voted for @dianachanmcnally in Ward 4 Parkdale - High Park and here’s one reason why.

Compare your candidates at:
WardWatch.ca
VoteToronto.com

Thanks to @ijvtorontoyorkbds for this:
IJV BDS Toronto & York Region, @ifnotnowtoronto, @worldbeyondwarcanada, The Canadian Arab Federation (CAF), @scan_toronto, Palestine Network - Shining Waters (PalNet SW), Jews for Tikkun Olam (J4TO), @torontocentre4palestine, the Jewish Faculty Network UofT, @winchevsky, @torontopalestinianfamilies,
@parkdalehighparkforpalestine, @justpeaceadvocates, @etobicokesouthforpalestine, @surj_toronto, @davenport4palestine, @ontariopalestinianra and @canadabdscoalition have joined forces to create Toronto’s Coalition for Ethical Investment & Procurement (CEIP).

CEIP’s aim can be stated simply: we demand that the City of Toronto end all business dealings with corporations that are linked to severe human rights abuses, such as genocide, ethnic cleansing, apartheid, illegal military occupation, mass surveillance and mass incarceration. Ending the City’s business dealings means no more investments of public funds, and no more purchases of goods and services from human rights abusers.

With your help, we’ll be working to make ethical investment and procurement an issue in the upcoming municipal elections.

Visit the links in our bio to read CEIP’s proposed policy statement and an email template you can use to contact candidates.

📝QueerMomentum.ca/inquiry

✍️Add your name and voice to the demand for a federal inquiry into the violations of charter rights in Saskatchewan and Alberta. These provincial governments are putting their trans citizens’ lives at risk, and any one of our other provincial governments across the country could follow suit if we don’t act now.

✊Thank you to @queermomentum @faedingaway @karla.marx1917 for leading the charge by gathering a beautiful community of fighters from coast to coast for this very important cause. by @selenavyle
