Our Smelly Good Family is growing, and we wanted to introduce ourselves to our new friends!

Seleta Scents was born out of a dream to honor my mom’s creative and entrepreneurial spirit. She passed in 2018 from stage IV duodenal cancer, and “Seleta” comes from her middle name, Selestia. If you visit our shop, you’ll even see her coat hanging on the wall—a reminder that her spirit is always with us. 💛

👋 We’re Mike + Julienne, the husband-and-wife duo behind Seleta Scents.
✨ We specialize in helping you create your own signature blends with 100+ clean fragrance oils.
✨ Our shop is designed to feel warm, welcoming, and inspiring—a space where you can create and relax.
✨ Alongside candles + scents, we also carry playful sensory fidget toys and collectibles that bring joy to kids and adults.

And since we’re all about connection, here are a few fun facts:

🌸 Julienne – Music is her heartbeat. You’ll usually catch her dancing at markets or moving to the rhythm in the shop. She grew up playing three different instruments, writing poetry, and even composing a few pieces of her own. She’s endlessly curious about the world and feels most grounded when she’s out in nature — wandering, observing, and soaking it all in. Fun Fact : She was the long jump record holder at Regina Domincan HS until 2022... she graduated in 2008 🥇 and continued to
jump in college.

🌟Mike - He too is a music lover, horror-movie enjoyer, and Roopert's favorite hangout buddy and human. When he’s not playing guitar or rolling out a yoga mat, he’s keeping the vibes grounded and intentional. Fun fact: Mike was once a Reiki teacher and has years of public-speaking experience with over 100 professional conferences under his belt 😲 by @seletascents

Small business ownership is stressful! We all need a reset sometimes. A few moments to breathe deeply, relax, stretch....and get ready to do it all over again.

We love the "Just Breathe" candle from Seleta Scents; your neighborhood candle bar (it may be the only bar we've walked out of completely sober).

Join our next Candles & Cocktails class on Dec 21st to make your own custom scented candle. by @seletascents

What an amazing night we had with our friends @bitter_and_sweet_cocktails this past Monday, October 5th! It was a full house, and we had such a good time. 🕯️🍸

This month’s theme was all about capturing the essence of fall through scent warm, a little musky, and of course, sweet. There’s just something about creating your own candle while enjoying a delicious cocktail that makes for a pretty great night out.

And we’re doing it again! We’ll be back at Bitter & Sweet Cocktail Boutique on 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟏𝐬𝐭.

If you’re looking for a night with good smells, yummy drinks, and a fun night out with friends, you’ll definitely want to save the date!

🎃 Pumpkin marshmallow scented slime fresh off the batch
✨ Us doing all the not so glamorous stuff (cleaning up supplies, setting up for a scent bar reservation, and everything in between)

Because honestly? The magic happens in the messy middle.
