What a wild ride that was. I’m having so many emotions. This series was a masterfully crafted story and I’ve never read anything like it. It’s re-defined for me what a comic set in a superhero universe can be. You can tell the entire team on this book was in lock step about what they wanted it to be and nothing feels out of place. I wish all comics had this level of synergy between the art and writing, this tight of a narrative, and as perfect a balance of humor, heart, nonsense, reverence, and action. Thank you to Matt Fraction, @stevelieberart @nathanfairbairn @claytoncowles Jessica Chen @alex_antone Michael Cotton, Brian Cunningham, Ben Oliver, Bixie Mathieu & everyone else at @dccomics who made this series a reality. When I first fell in love with this character and started cosplaying him, I was resigned to the fact Jimmy Olsen’s time in the spotlight was long gone. I’m so delighted to have been wrong. I’ve already pre-ordered the collected edition from my local comic shop. If you haven’t read this series yet, I recommend you do the same. #JimberlyJimmyOlsenForever by @selfieswithsuperman

To my non-black followers: if you want to be like Superman you can’t just post a black square and call it a day. You have to use your platform and your voice to call people to action and uplift and amplify black voices. You have to do the work both online and in private. If you don’t think Clark Kent would be calling out police brutality and racism with every column inch he could grow his hands in, and then suiting up and asking black organizers where to go and what to do to be the most helpful, then you’re kidding yourself. I’m not perfect, and I’ve fucked up, and I have a lot of work to do for the rest of my life to make sure I don’t fall back into comfortable patterns and turning a blind eye.
