Fish princess redraw ✨
2020-2026
2020 was a big big year for me artistically, I had dove headfirst into digital art with my new ipad, I was making big improvements and I was so happy with what I was making!

So I wanted to take this design in a completely different direction, going more unsettling and alien, and looking like she could actually fight you (2020 doesn't look dangerous, let's be real), while not changing the elements too much. Style wise I went in a more "game art" direction, to see how far detailed and rendered I could go. This was fun! by @selkire

⭐ Vega ⭐ Witch of the stars
Been a little while! Would love to do a lil life update but that will have to be later, I'm on vacation and lately I've worked alot so haven't made too much art 🙂‍↕️

I have taken a break from the character designs to do some art fight though! Look forward to that >:) Vega is my new character for art fight this year, and I've loooved the attacks of her hehe by @selkire

Happy selkire anniversary 💕💕 So I thought my art account was 10 years old, hence why I made a big whimsical artwork of all my characters :) BUT OH WELL!

But on a real note, I'm so grateful I've had a safe little spot to put my drawings for so many years. I think I'm my own biggest stalker, I love to look back at who I was back then, what I was drawing and dreaming about. And I'm so happy for everyone who follows and likes my art ❤️ Its really beautiful, even if social media can be poop and bad sometimes

🌊The Selkie, the very creature I named my online presence after. 24/200 suggested by @nashoriinori

Working with this design I wondered for a while how make her interesting, a mermaid with a seal tail wasn't enough for me. What I landed on was including a torc - a celtic iron age jewelry piece (I imagine her being a little behind on the fashion trends) and trying a curvier body type! It really is a crime I haven't drawn more voluptuous women. Also, to do her justice, I made her fully immersed (water pun) in an environment, and I'm very happy with the result :D by @selkire

❄️ Arctic Archer 20/200 ❄️

10% through the challenge! Swipe to see my process 🌠 I had a blast researching Reindeer for this design, and learned that male reindeer shed their antlers late fall - which inspired his use of his old antlers for a bow! I also learned about the velvet they grow on the antlers to help them grow faster, and how gross and bloody it looks when they scrape and itch it off, see a tiny example on slide 6 (that will have to wait for the next design x))

Anyways I imagine his story is he's the one shooting shooting stars across the winter sky, maybe granting wishes to the people who spot them. I want to name him something from Samí mythology or similar, comment if u got any ideas! by @selkire

Celebrating the @starstableonline Marchinghast update with a Nottsoren illustration 💫💜 Such amazing and creative art direction, I'm so proud of the sso art team :DD

I loved their last moth horse (made fanart of that one too! hehe), so I was so excited they were making another one! It seems to be inspired by the Saturnia/Emperor moth, with some magic purple sparkles added. 10/10 good horse

(Sorry for the repost!! I needed to show the cropping just right. I really really appreciate the nice comments people left, 🌸<3)

I suppose this is my first proper environment piece of 2026! About time lmao, it's a concept piece for my character Morel the witch, exploring her witch's hut >:) 🍂💫 She is a very autumn-based character (though I've thought about making her change with the seasons), so I wanted to channel that ultra-cosy, soup season, crunchy leaf, autumn atmosphere! :D

This was very satisfying to work on, though I can tell I'm still very slow at environments, and second guessing myself alot. Still its good progress 💪

My stylistic inspirations were Alia Zhang on art station, and cookie run kingdom hehe by @selkire
