Poli Van Dam @polivandam currently jams with Semi Famous @semifamous27 and performs solo work as well. She was also formerly known as Poli Pop of the Bombpops before she took some time away from music to focus on being a punk rock mom. Ryan and I hade only met a few times when he invited me to his wedding and on a whim I took a bus to Cincinnati by myself and attended. May 2018. If it weren’t for that whim we probably wouldn’t have started Semi-Famous.

Since Semi-Famous has been getting some radio play with Poli and Mike’s song Run Away, I figured it was time again to tell people to listen to our record and share it with others. Still DIY after all these years. by @semifamous27

We made Jim Testa’s , of Jersey Beat fame, top 20 list for this year so far. I wish we would see more reviews of this record, but at least we know it’s good! by @semifamous27

We at Semi-Famous are proud to announce the release of our second video from NOT SORRY. TAKE 5 is written and directed by our very own Poli van Dam.

We do not have a robust music business mechanism behind us, so we very much depend on our audiences love and support. Please listen, share, and purchase if you can our record. You can follow this link for streaming services and places to buy our digital and vinyl release.

Another great review for Semi-Famous' NOT SORRY. This one from the musically wise Jason Zero. Good timing. Our new video, TAKE 5, starring and directed by Poli van Dam will be out this Friday!

"Semi-Famous has managed to make lemonade out of being handed the bitterest of lemons. - Musically, Semi-Famous takes us on an unexpected journey that effectively delivers how they have dealt with their own pain. It should be pointed out that this album rocks very hard and will please the choosiest of punk rockers!" by @semifamous27

We are amazed at all the great compliments we have been getting for this record. We all thought it was good, but ya know, you get close to something and you lose perspective. When you are in the studio you aren’t doing it for that reason, you are doing it because this is what you do, and this group of people feels right. I am glad that that is being picked up as you listen. Please continue to share this record. We are doing it all ourselves this time around and it takes help to keep it going.

Today is April 10th—record release day—and we’re excited to finally share the semi-famous Not Sorry LP, a project that’s been a long time in the making.

The album is now available on all major streaming platforms, as well as through mail order at Sounds Rad (www.soundsradical.com) and record stores everywhere. If your local shop doesn’t have it in stock, just ask—they can easily order it through their distributors. Heck, just jump on your favorite search engine and there literally a ton places that offer this release. Our favorite is Loud Pizza Records (USA) and Brassneck Records (UK).

This is a release we’re incredibly proud of, brought to life by a group of people: John Jughead Pierson, Ryan Rockwell, and Poli van Dam, Mike Kinshella, and Nanako Nishio. We’re grateful to finally get it out into the world and hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
