It’s been a while since I’ve introduced myself, so if you’re new around here, hi! I’m Jackie. 👋 You may also know my other half, Justin!

We started @seminoleheightshomes in 2014 when I was a total newbie to Tampa and to real estate, and I spent most of my time checking out pretty homes, taking pictures of them, and posting them on Instagram (while I was trying to figure out what the heck I was doing as a Realtor, in a city I was new to, a career I was new in).

I don’t know what you remember about Instagram back in 2014, but it was mostly IG filtered photos and pictures of food. I was having fun sharing unique aspects of homes in my neighborhood, and eventually, some of you who have been with me for over 10 years started finding me on Instagram! And that is the short and sweet story of how our business really began.

Are you one of those buyers that has a list of must-haves a mile long?

No judgment, you can raise your hand if that’s you 😅🙋‍♀️

You want a neighborhood that is gated, that has amenities.

You want an HOA that isn’t too expensive, but that gives you really good value for the money.

You want a garage for the cars, and you really need the extra storage.

You don’t like that most HOA neighborhoods have the houses right on top of each other, so you want a larger lot that offers some space and privacy.

And you need SPACE inside. A living room that stays nice, and maybe a separate play area for all the kids’ stuff. Plenty of bedrooms, of course.

And a large primary suite with a great closet is a must.

You want newer construction, because you have enough projects in your life without your house being one of them.

You also don’t want it to feel too builder grade. It needs to have some style, some personality.

And you’re really not trying to spend a million dollars here. It’s gotta be a good value.

I grew up in Dallas.
As a kid, some weekends we would just spend an hour or two driving around beautiful neighborhoods and admiring the houses.

It’s fun getting to come back here now as a Realtor and see the houses through different eyes. And to actually see the inside!

It’s also fun to see just how much house and land you can get for your money compared to Tampa 😅

Looking at some of these houses definitely makes it tempting to move back! But I’m a Florida girl at heart, now 💛
