this is how you get from tokyo to mt. fuji ⤵️

From Shinjuku Station, I took the JR Chuo Line to Otsuki Station — the ride took about 70 to 90 minutes, depending on the train. At Otsuki, I transferred to the Fujikyu Railway Line, which brought me to Shimoyoshida Station in about 45 minutes.

From Shimoyoshida Station, it’s about a 10 to 15-minute walk to the iconic Chureito Pagoda. The path takes you through a quiet neighborhood, and once you reach the base, you’ll need to climb around 400 steps to get to the top — but the panoramic view of Mount Fuji behind the pagoda is absolutely worth it.

The entire journey from Shinjuku to the pagoda took me around 2.5 to 3 hours in total, including transfers and the climb — but it felt like a beautiful little adventure into the heart of Japan. 🇯🇵 taken in Mount Fuji, Fujiyama, Japan by @senalumii
