This week, the Trump administration cut down a beautiful, 200-year-old cottonwood tree to make way for his wasteful and ineffective border wall.

Once these trees are gone, they’re gone forever.

We passed a major win in the Senate for New Mexico’s land grant-merced communities with unanimous support.

For hundreds of years, these communities have cared for our lands, yet they’ve faced unnecessary barriers when working with the federal government. My legislation strengthens coordination and gives them a voice in decisions that affect our land and traditions. by @senatorlujan

It passed! I just came off the Senate floor after passing my legislation to support land grant-Mercedes communities and traditional uses.

New Mexicans who have cared for these lands for generations must have a voice at the decision-making table. This bill will remove unnecessary barriers, provide much-needed clarity, and ensure that historical and traditional uses are considered in Federal land use planning. by @senatorlujan

We lost a legend and a friend to so many. Dolly Parton was a music icon whose songs and storytelling will live on for generations. Her generosity also put books in the hands of millions of children, including here in New Mexico, and opened doors for many.

Let’s remember Dolly for the joy and kindness she shared with us.

The fact is, the Republican Budget Betrayal stripped a trillion dollars away from Americans’ health care.

It's created more uncertainty for families who are scared about medical emergencies or even just getting a checkup.

Republicans have done nothing to take care of their own constituents' health care, only made it more expensive. by @senatorlujan
