Motherhood is a beautiful thing, yet it is one of the most challenging jobs a woman can embark upon.

Black women face many challenges on the path to motherhood and many a time these things are never talked about.

I had a front row seat to see the hard and arduous process from Day 1 to Day 244 of pregnancy and it’s changed my views on women and motherhood forever.

This Mother’s Day, I want to send a special shout out to the love of my life, my lady @they_call_me_emms for pushing and fighting to ensure our legacy was born. @baby_smp2

Words are powerful. And I am going to use my words every day to share, motivate and celebrate your greatness.

Yesterday, my hearts graduated high school. In a season where I once only had faith, God gave me proof that He keeps His promises.

Sarah & Ezra-Ann, my baby girls….the last of my babies before the baby…. I am so proud of the strong, resilient, beautiful young women you have become. I am so incredibly excited for your journey ahead and can't wait to see all the wonderful things you will achieve. The sky is the limit, and I will be cheering you on every single step of the way as you bring all of your dreams to life!

And to My Mannn who stepped into our lives and showed our girls what it means to be loved, supported, and championed. You proved that fatherhood is so much more than biology ….it’s showing up, staying, loving, and choosing your children every single day.

Yesterday, the girls surprised you by graduating with your last name and by the look on your face that gesture said what words never could.

Thank you for ALWAYS showing up, loving fiercely, and being the father our children deserve. This moment is equally yours as it is mine . ❤️🎓

I Have a Confession to Make: I’m Officially a New York Jet.

Anyone who knows me knows this is a big deal.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been a die-hard, and often heartbroken, Dallas Cowboys fan. But sometimes, purpose has a way of changing your perspective.

Last year, my wife @they_call_me_emms and our team at @hope_harbor_cares had the opportunity to learn about the incredible work the New York Jets are doing through their Special Abilities Flag Football program. We were inspired from the moment we walked through the door.

Understanding the responsibility and commitment that came with it, we proudly joined an exclusive network of New York Jets flag football franchisees, and the Hope Harbor Jets were born.

Alongside my co-General Manager, @realdapperstan, we got to work building one of the first inclusive flag football leagues in New Jersey designed specifically for athletes of all abilities.

Our mission is simple: create a space where young people with special abilities and their peers can play together, build confidence, develop friendships, and experience the power of being part of a team.

Today, I’m excited to officially announce that the Hope Harbor Jets are here. 📣

The Hope Harbor Jets are a New York Jets Special Abilities Flag Football franchise serving youth ages 8–18. Through sports, we are creating opportunities, building community, and increasing awareness and inclusion for individuals with special abilities.

If you believe in this mission and want to make a difference, we need you.

Whether you’d like to volunteer, coach, mentor, sponsor, or cheer from the sidelines every Saturday, we invite you to join us.

I’m excited to be speaking at the Stakeholder Dialogues presented by Haiti Tech Summit TODAY December 4th at 11am, exploring how both the diaspora and the domestic private sector can collaborate to support Haiti’s economic recovery and growth, and the role development partners like IFC - International Finance Corporation can play.

Also looking forward to the insights from my fellow panelists Christine S. Ntim, Jhonson Napoleon and Ivy Kuperberg, as well as the audience.
