Sharing this post on behalf of a Phd student. Please see below: LOOKING FOR SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHERS IN ENGLAND🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿! I’m Ara and a PhD researcher at the University of Leeds. I am looking for secondary school teachers who might be interested in participating in a co-design workshop with pupils with SEND to create an artefact for a lesson. The co-design workshop involves teachers and pupils with SEND working together as partners. It will take approx 30-45 mins (the timing can be adjusted). An inspiring visit and a proud moment for SAC Nexus Inclusive School! 💙 We were honoured to welcome a distinguished delegation from the United Kingdom: Hafiz Mohammad Umar, SENDCO and Assessor at iLink Educators Ltd, weekly host of “SEND in the Community” on Inspire FM, and Disability Cricket Co-ordinator at Luton Town & Indians Cricket Club. Councillor Jabbar Riaz, Deputy Leader of Worcester City Council and former Mayor of Worcester. Mohammad Aslam, a semi-retired teacher and former Head of Maths with over 30 years of teaching experience in the UK. Haji Abdul Rauf, Board Member of Worcester Muslim Welfare Association. During their visit, our guests explored our learning environments and appreciated the work we are doing in Pakistan to support autistic children and children with additional needs. They praised our inclusive learning model, practical life skills activities, and the care behind our approach to each child’s learning and development. Our guests also shared valuable insights, constructive suggestions, and experiences from the UK, offering ideas to further strengthen our programmes and make the learning experience at SAC Nexus even better. This exchange of knowledge was an encouraging opportunity to reflect, learn, and grow as we continue developing inclusive education in Pakistan. We sincerely thank our guests for their time, appreciation, and thoughtful contributions. Their support for our vision has encouraged our team to keep working towards a future where every child feels accepted, supported, and empowered to learn. 💙 by @send_in_the_community
🏏 Throwback to this fantastic event last month at Luton Town & Indians Cricket Club! The Cricket East Super 1s Festival was a brilliant celebration of inclusive cricket, bringing people together to participate, enjoy the game and be part of a welcoming cricket community. ❤️ It was wonderful to see so many people getting involved, sharing smiles and enjoying a great day of cricket. We were also delighted to welcome local MP Sarah Owen to the event. Sharing on behalf of Grove Corner: Looking for a safe, welcoming space for your young person to socialise and make new friends? Our FREE session at Grove Corner in Dunstable is designed for young people aged 15-18 (up to 25 SEND) who may find larger or busier youth settings overwhelming. Held every Tuesday during term time, the sessions provide a calm and inclusive environment where young people can enjoy activities at their own pace, build confidence, meet others and feel part of a supportive social community. 🎮 Activities include: • PS5 • Nintendo Switch 2 • PC gaming suite • Pool table • Board games and other social activities The sessions will be quieter than our regular youth provision, with sensory support available through a sensory box when needed. 📅 Every Tuesday (term time only) ⏰ 6.45pm to 8.15pm 📍 Grove Corner, High Street North, Dunstable, LU6 1JF 👥 Ages 15-18 (up to 25 with SEND) 💙 Free to attend Our aim is to provide a welcoming space where young people can feel comfortable being themselves, develop friendships and enjoy positive social experiences in a supportive and understanding environment.
