Just after we moved in, we were gifted this fab letterbox treat box from @sendadogaboneuk as part of their Random Acts of Kindness giveaway 🥰

It’s safe to say Nara loves the treats, so much so I had to hide it on the top shelf in the kitchen so she couldn’t steal them all 😂

These are a great little gift you can send to someone’s dog, whether they are feeling a bit under the weather, it’s their birthday or they’ve just moved house, there is a box to suit all occasions!

Our treats are made from ingredients you can pronounce. If it sounds like a chemistry equation, it’s not in our box.

The treats we include are carefully selected from suppliers we’re comfortable with often simple, single ingredient treats made in the UK or EU, and always treats we’d be happy to give to our own dogs.

Why? Because that's what our dogs deserve.

⚽🐾 Calling all Top Dogs! 🐾⚽

We're very excited to announce that Send a Dog a Bone now has its very own team in the DogFriendly & Woof & Brew Top Dog competition!

Think your dog deserves a place in the squad?

Simply upload a photo of your dog and tell their story. It doesn't matter whether they're a rescue superstar, chief sofa tester, professional biscuit inspector, or simply the best dog you've ever known. The judges are looking at the story, not the quality of the photo.

If your dog is selected for Team Send a Dog a Bone, they'll receive one of our selection boxes as a little welcome-to-the-team gift

Even better, one lucky Top Dog will be crowned overall champion and win a dog-friendly holiday worth £1,000!

To enter, upload your photo and story here:
https://www.shakepaws.co.uk/pages/topdog (You can find it in our Bio too, just click this photo!)

I'd absolutely love to see some familiar faces wearing the Send a Dog a Bone colours, so if you've got a Top Dog at home, get them entered!

Tyson takes his pre-wash job very seriously! It reduces the risk of steaky plates, saves water and makes sure there's nothing clogging up the filters.

Does your dog have a pre-wash job, or is it an absolute no-no in your house??

Happy Halloween! You can keep your ghosts and pumpkins, because in most dog houses there's one word that sends everybody under the table, and it's usually said in a perfectly normal voice.

For plenty of dogs it's "bath". For others it's "vet", which is why so many of you started spelling it out, only to discover your dog can spell.

And for the cheese fiends who can hear the fridge from three rooms away, nothing is more frightening than the sound of that fridge door closing without anyone sharing.

So fill in the blank for us: the scariest word in our house is ______.

And while you're at it, tell us the best word too. We're quite partial to "parcel" ourselves.

Some recent work for The Dog House 💕

A bowl of water by the door is a nice start, but dogs have very long memories for the places that spoil them. I can guarantee most dogs will know at least one cafe where the treats are, and will drag you past the other three to get to it!

Did you know I design and create dog treat boxes for dog friendly businesses who want to offer something a bit more special? I’ve worked with cafés, pubs, hotels, holiday cottages, shops, groomers, vets and visitor attractions to create:

🐾 branded dog treat boxes to sell or gift
🐾 thoughtful welcome packs for four-legged guests
🐾 dog menus for cafés, pubs and hotels
🐾 seasonal or occasion-led gift boxes with your own look and feel

It’s those small details that make dogs and their humans feel remembered, and keep them coming back.

If you’re a business that likes to go above and beyond, drop me an email at woof@sendadogabone.co.uk and let’s have a chat. With Christmas just round the corner, now’s a lovely time to think about festive boxes for your regulars 🎄

It was so lovely to meet everyone at @sendadogaboneuk at Dog live.

Marley and Tilly absolutely love the treats. You can order a parcel for a dog.

We received our birthday box the other day, a party box of treats for your dog to make their special day. by @sendadogaboneuk

If you found us at Edition Dog Live, hello, and thank you for following! I’m always a bit nervous talking about myself, but I thought you might like to know who’s behind Send a Dog a Bone 💌

I’m Sarah. By day I’m in construction, running AJ Laminated Beams alongside AJ Joinery, but I’ve always been a dog person, and I mean properly. I’m one of those people who trusts dogs more than most humans, and there’s a reason for that.

It started 52 years ago with Muppet, our family dog and a proper Heinz 57 (I didn’t even know pedigree dogs existed back then). She was named after The Muppet Show and she was my first best friend. Whenever we played out in the garden, she had a very strong and very committed habit of trying to dry hump my dad, which, to us kids, was the funniest thing in the world.

Then, 35 years ago, came my first dog of my own, a Rottweiler called Brook (with a tail, of course). She taught me about loyalty and companionship, and that once a dog chooses you, that’s it. You’re theirs forever, and they never let you down.

These days my favourite thing is being out in nature with my dog, just the two of us. It’s a quiet, simple sort of happiness and I never take it for granted. Send a Dog a Bone grew out of that love. We all feel so much love and gratitude for our dogs, and I wanted to help people show it, because they deserve it, don’t they?

Anyone who knows me will tell you I’ve got absolutely no filter 😂 Life’s done its thing and I’ve come out the other side a bit more direct. My motto is “In dogs we trust… because people are c!*%s” 😱 and yes, it’s tattooed on my arm.

The funny thing is, since starting Send a Dog a Bone I’ve found my kind of people, the good ones, the dog people. And if you’re here following along, you’re definitely one of them 🥰

Thanks for being here.

After a frantic lead up to Edition Dog, taking time out on a beautiful walk with Wilma is just what I needed and just look at that gorgeous autumn light!

I'm not looking forward to doing spot the 💩in the leaves though 😂 by @sendadogaboneuk

I think I can say the first ever Sniff Inn dog pub at @editiondoglive was a success!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who visited.

While the weeks building up to this designing building sourcing all the components was super stressful and tiring, the two days of the show were some of the most rewarding days of my life.

Creating an experience for dogs and their owners and being part of their enjoyment was incredible - giving away over 14kg of treats and nearly 1000 ties, it was a weekend to remember.

Thank you to Gareth, Steve, Lyn, Lois, James, Gav, Vicky, AJ and Kerry. Couldn’t have done it without you.

Please do tag me in any photo's of your pub stop, I'd love to see them!
