Do yourself the biggest favor possible and go get some custom earplugs from my friends at @sensaphonics!

When you go into your appointment you'll get a hearing health test where you'll learn if either of your ears are struggling to hear certain frequencies. Game changing for those who swear things don't quite sound like they used to.

Then we can compare our hearing test results like flappy bird high scores 🤓

All of us at Sensaphonics are deeply saddened by the loss of Singer/Songwriter Glen Hansard and Drummer Frank Beard of ZZ Top.

We were fortunate to know them as part of the Sensaphonics family and as extraordinary musicians whose gifts brought joy to countless people around the world. Our hearts are with their families, friends, bandmates, crews and fans as we join the music community in mourning their loss.

Their music and the memories they created will live on. by @sensaphonics

Uh oh, I'm back on my earplug education arc.

I just wore some Sensaphonics custom earplugs through opening for Kettama, four days of Lollapalooza, and three afterparties and never once felt uncomfortable from the fit or volume level. They're truly the best I've used, and I've tried a lot of brands.

As a huge bonus, my friend and music audiologist Dr. Shannon Switzer is no stranger to the best dancefloors in the city, so you're getting treatment from somebody that actually knows the music, the scene, and what it's like to wear earplugs at a club for hours.

So!! Book an appointment with them, mention me as your referral to get a discount, and change the game with some custom earplugs. I promise you'll never look back. by @sensaphonics

Pretty incredible day at Red Rocks. 🎶👂

My team from @mariondownscenter had the chance to spend the afternoon backstage with the @coloradosymphony helping musicians protect their hearing before their performance with Wynonna Judd and Melissa Etheridge.

The first clip shows how we can actually measure sound levels inside the ear using the @sensaphonics dB Check Pro. From there, I worked with musicians to fine tune the EQ and settings of their 3DME active hearing protection so they could reduce the amount of sound reaching their ears while still hearing the detail they need to perform.

Then came the best part. Hearing the Colorado Symphony during soundcheck from directly behind the orchestra, followed by watching them perform with Wynonna Judd from the crowd that night.

As an audiologist and musician, this is exactly the kind of work I love. Hearing conservation does not have to mean sacrificing sound quality. The goal is to give musicians the tools and information they need to protect their hearing while continuing to perform at the highest level.

And doing it at Red Rocks certainly doesn’t hurt. 🤘🎻🎺

As @lorde takes the stage to headline on opening night of Lollapalooza 2026, she’ll be relying on the same philosophy that has guided her live performances since the beginning of her career: hear clearly, perform confidently, and protect your hearing for the long haul.
Many musicians assume that as an artist’s career grows, so does the complexity of their in-ear monitors. Bigger stages must require more drivers, more technology and more hardware, right? Not necessarily ➡️

Since the beginning of her career, Lorde has relied on the Sensaphonics 2MAX, a dual-driver custom silicone in-ear monitor. Our silicone IEMs provide broadband isolation of 37 dB (and as much as 45 dB in higher frequencies). This helps artists hear their mix clearly and at lower, safer levels regardless of how loud the surrounding band, audience, and pyrotechnics may be ➡️

Lorde’s monitor engineer, Kevin Glendinning, also relies on a matching pair of Sensaphonics 2MAX IEMs, ensuring he’s hearing the same sonic picture he’s creating for the stage. “I have had an involvement with Sensaphonics since ‘97,” Glendinning says. “As a patient, a client and customer, it’s been amazing to see their success in the 40 plus years in the IEM and audiology community. Dr Santucci, and his illustrious staff in Chicago, are just phenomenal.” @kev_chitown

A huge thank you to Shannon Switzer from Sensaphonics for guest lecturing with our second-year AuD students on June 24! 🎧🎶

Students enjoyed learning about musicians' hearing conservation, custom hearing protection, and the safe use of in-ear monitors. We appreciate Shannon for sharing her expertise and providing valuable insights into protecting the hearing health of musicians and other performing artists.
