Norwegian Cruise Line has announced an earlier debut for its newest ship, Norwegian Aura, bringing her entry into service forward by 19 days and adding two extra Mediterranean sailings to the schedule. The first departure is scheduled from Trieste on May 2, 2027, followed by a nine-night voyage departing from Piraeus on May 12. The originally scheduled May 21 sailing remains confirmed, although it will no longer be the shipโ€™s first voyage. Currently under construction at Fincantieriโ€™s shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy, Norwegian Aura is set to become the largest ship in Norwegian Cruise Lineโ€™s fleet to date. The new vessel will focus on experiences for guests of all ages, with spaces designed for entertainment, outdoor activities, and multigenerational travel. Among the highlights will be Ocean Heights, a new outdoor activity complex designed to enhance the onboard experience. Bringing the debut forward will allow NCL to introduce the ship to guests sooner while adding two more sailings to its Mediterranean program. ๐ŸŒŠ Another major newbuild taking shape in Monfalcone, as Norwegian Aura prepares to make her mark on the Mediterranean cruise market. #NorwegianAura #NorwegianCruiseLine #Fincantieri #CruiseNorwegian #CruiseNews by @sensationalcruises
One of my favourite ships is getting ready to show off the Carnival colours on its funnel! ๐Ÿšขโค๏ธ Ever since she left the Costa fleet, the Carnival Venezia has always kept the distinctive yellow and blue Costa logo on her funnel. Now, however, itโ€™s time for a new look, with the Carnival livery! This ship holds a special place in my heart: in March 2019, I took part in its Vernissage cruise from Trieste. I have so many lovely memories of that experience on board, and thatโ€™s another reason why this ship is one of my favourites. I must admit that I really liked the Costa logo on the funnel! It was a little nod to its origins and to the memories I carry with me. Even though it now bears the Carnival colours, for me it will always be linked to that wonderful cruise. ๐Ÿ›ณ๏ธ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’› ๐Ÿ“ธ Melody Horn Pumphrey #CarnivalIsCalling #CostaVenezia #CarnivalVenezia by @sensationalcruises

โ€œThe sea has been a huge part of my life. I have a feeling it still has a few more stories to write.โ€ โš“๏ธ Some time ago, Captain Gennaro Arma shared these words as he announced the end of a remarkable 28-year chapter with Princess Cruises. Twenty-eight years of ships, oceans, challenges, achievements and, above all, extraordinary people. A journey that saw him grow from a young officer into Captain and become part of so many unforgettable moments at sea. Then, as in life and in the sea, there comes a time to change course. Today, that new course has a name: Explora Journeys. And a ship: Explora I ๐Ÿ’™ A new chapter begins at the helm, bringing with it decades of experience and a deep passion for the sea. From one chapter closing to a new story waiting to be written. It seems the sea still had a few more stories to tell. #GennaroArma #ExploraJourneys #OceanStateOfMind by @sensationalcruises
