a nerikomi bowl and plate set ~ I’m really pleased with how these came out! by @sensitive_ceramics

from sloppy slab to freshly shaved—another plate in the works featuring my favorite (and most tedious) step in the nerikomi process: scraping every inch to remove surface level clay that transferred in the making process to reveal the clean pattern underneath *claps hands kicks feet* taken in Brooklyn, New York by @sensitive_ceramics

this is me coming out as experimenting with nerikomi. lots more to come - this was my first ever plate and now I have a whole set in process hehe. anyway I’m hoping to incorporate these checkerboards into future butters! by @sensitive_ceramics

☎️ red checker baby butter ☎️

this guy didn’t make it out for the holiday market but it ended up being a non issue~ the top warped to the point that it doesn’t fit neatly into the tray but whatever!! after almost selling out of everything I can keep it as a display piece :-) by @sensitive_ceramics

new butter way alert!! 🚨 this baby butter got a jester checker paint job and her own hot pink handle and I think she’s just darling. I def plan on doing more patterned glazing in the future by @sensitive_ceramics

I am so so excited to show these butter bells I’ve been working on!! they are 3 variations on the classic French butter bell~~the green is the only one to use water a la the butter crock (softened butter goes into the bell and 1-2mm of water in the base), the other 2 do not.

I’m looking forward to using them and having friends beta test them as well to find which one combines the best functionality + design. but also keen to know which one people prefer!!

oh and swipe to the end for a surprise by @sensitive_ceramics
