Celebrating 2️⃣5️⃣ years of coffee & community ☕️❤️ @sentientbean

In the early days of Emergent Savannah around 2015, the Sentient Bean became one of the first places where I regularly practiced graphic recording in front of a live audience, helping me build both my skills and my business. More than a decade later, it’s still my home base, where you can find me almost daily working on projects, connecting with people, and building relationships. The Bean was a launching pad for InkyBrittany and continues to be a space where my work and community connections grow.

My story is just one of many. Over 25 years, the Bean’s impact has reached far beyond coffee. Take a look at The Bean in Numbers to see just how much this little corner of Savannah has poured back into its people, its community, and the world around it.

For 25 years, Sentient Bean has been one of Savannah’s most extraordinary coffee shops. Founded by our longtime friends Kristin Russell and Kelli Pearson, it opened its doors in 2001 with a simple, clear ethos: create a welcoming, gathering space that inspires conscious consumption and community activism. A quarter-century later, they’re still doing exactly that — thoughtfully sourced vegetarian food, Campesino Organic coffee, and a commitment to sustainability that shows up in everything they do.
