A young, Black girl in Bedstuy with a fascination with death tries to solve the mysterious case of a missing neighbor while coming to terms with a more personal disappearance. Please prepare for a flood 🌊 | Part 1This past week I had the immense honor of being awarded the HBO Short Film Award for my film “Jelly” at @americanblackfilmfestival, an Oscar-qualifying award! This week has been a DREAM 🥹Out of 800+ applicants, I was one of 11 filmmakers chosen to be a part of Indeed’s Rising Voices program. This fact still blows my mind. We premiered our films at @tribeca to a packed house & it was such a beautiful celebration. I’m so honored to be in the company of such INCREDIBLY talented filmmakers. We really did that, y’all! I’m proud of this project and how it stretched me as a filmmaker. And to my cast + crew, thank you for elevating the piece with your talent & light.
