Would you like to try mandala art in your home? Or purchase as a gift? Mandala craft kits are available on my website (and my Etsy store too), for ring dishes and mandala stones.

The kit includes a link to a variety of tutorials that match your kit project. Your access to that has no time limitations, and the tutorials are added to regularly.

You will have everything you need to make, paint and complete your item.

On the website too are additional blank stones and ring dishes so that you can top up your kit whenever you like!

I'm starting a new mandala in a 30cm diameter round and I've decided upon this orange and red 'autumn glory' colour scheme! It will be on a pale yellow background.

I love autumn, as the colours fade and the nights draw in!

Elements of this mandala will form some of my new course material that I'm really excited to start preparing too! So, as it progresses there will be glimpses into what I'm doing 😁

A fun and calming project to be starting, so I hope you will follow along!

If you would like to learn dot mandala, comment FREE and I'll send over a free video and pdf tutorial to start with tools from around your home!

Or head to the website and find various ways to learn and get onto the newsletter to get discounts and first notice in courses and workshops coming up!

Take care,

Today I finished my 'Cotton candy sky' 30cm mandala! The centre design was completed over a week ago and then I got distracted on other projects!

Today it's finished, so I share today those long brush strokes... I was really pleased with how they went actually as I do mostly dotting!

Oh, I did love this palette! Half way through I almost added a lighter pink, but I resisted, but did go with the pink glitter dots only (I swatched the purple and blue glitter too if you see the mixing reel), but I felt it needed the lighter pink more!

Elements of this mandala will be going into a mini-online course I'm working on. I'm not ready to share too much yet, but watch this space!

I also finished my wreath design for the Christmas workshops today, so I've been quite productive with finishing things!

Oh, and I also finished my ACT security training for the Keynsham Christmas market. Getting a feeling of deja from all those corporate trainings I used to have to do!

Glad that's done.

Tick, tick, tick. Next up, moulding stones!!! I love how varied this job is 😁😁😁 taken in Bristol, United Kingdom by @seravidaart

Welcome to Tutorial Tuesday number 6!

I fear that the algorithm powers won't like this one as I'm not painting and it's not pretty, but it is really useful for all mandala painting! It is...

How to find the centre!!

No rulers, set squares, compasses required. Just a piece of paper or card! As long as it has a right angle, it will work.

Sometimes the simplest solutions are the best ones. I have so many gadgets for all sorts of things that I really try to avoid buying more when there are quick and easy solutions, just with the application of my (second) favourite subject.. maths!!

Love geometry 😁

If you've been following for a while, you'll know this 😁🧮

I hope this helps for mandala artists everywhere!
Save for when you need to find the centre of a circle next!

Happy Monday to you. I hope the weekend was good and Monday wasn't too stressful!

I thought that today I would share some of the health benefits of dot mandala following World Mental Health day on Saturday. It's why I got into this and why I love it so much!

Sometimes I forget and focus on getting more and more complicated patterns and getting smaller and more precise dots, but the benefits are in the journey, the slow and steady dotting, the symmetry and sensory benefits.

If life is so hectic and the pressures coming from all over, this is a great method to help you unwind.

Yes, you can learn through a workshop which is a lovely experience, but you can also just do it at home.

It can be just 15 minutes, and in your pyjamas at the end of a busy day when you're struggling to bring some stillness to the 100 thoughts and worries.

If this is you, I would love to help. Message me 'CALM' and I'll point you to my free video and pdf to start your journey with the tools from around your home.

Take care,

Welcome to Friday as I share my Cotton Candy Sky mandala stone with you!

I hope you've all had a good week.

I shared this colour palette with you earlier this week, and I was blown away by the response! Thankyou so much for the positivity I have felt coming my way!

This mandala stone uses brushwork, which is a bit different for me, and it gives quite a different feel. Adding all the bling though really worked for me - what about you?

Bling or no bling?

If you're wondering why I dotted underneath the bling, it's because the glitter drops are transparent with the glitter in, so I like to have the colour underneath too, so that the effect is bolder.

I've missed my flower design on this one though, which made me a little sad. It just didn't fit. Maybe next week :-)

This little stone isn't in my Etsy shop yet, but will be in Chipping Sodbury town hall tomorrow, as I paint and talk mandalas and workshops with anyone who'll listen 😂😂😂!

Take care and have a good weekend.

Welcome to Tutorial Tuesday number 5 (not 4! Oops!) where I am painting this popular dot pattern that I see versions of in loads of mandalas (including mine!).

I also use ones like this in the dot mandala workshops, so I am also hoping that this little close up is useful!

The swoosh is one of the more difficult of the beginner strokes as getting the length and the point thin takes practice. The top tricks I have found useful are:

* Plenty of paint. If you only have a little on the end of the tool, it won't go very far.
* Upright tool position. Gravity is our friend and the more upright the tool, the better that works!
* Thinner paint is easier than thicker. I don't recommend using a metallic paint to do these when you're a beginner as they tend to be a bit thicker.
* Go slow! The video looks slow, but even the starting swoosh section is sped up 1.2x

If you found this helpful, follow along for weekly tips and tricks!

Practice sheets are available in the Etsy shop for immediate download and include the elements that make up this pattern.

Happy Tutorial Tuesday everyone!

Welcome to Saturday as I share my 'Serenity' mandala stone with you. I hope that the music and dotting bring you a little serenity today 😌🙂🤗

Pinks (and purples) and teals are often a favourite colour combo in my mandala workshops. Though I bring lots of colours, and everyone chooses something a little different, there are a few combinations that appear frequently. This is one of them, so I thought I would paint one too!

While all the workshops start with a black stone, which really makes these colours pop, with such vibrancy, I have put them on a grey background which changes the feel significantly, to one of calm and serenity.

And you may notice, my current favourite dot pattern of these flowers appears again! I am absolutely loving this at the moment and it's in lots of my designs! For how to create these reliably, check out this week's Tutorial Tuesday reel.

So, how many flowers can you see in this mandala stone? Answers below! With or without layers works just tell me what you included!

Follow along for more mandala ideas, tips, tricks and how to start :-)
