When Jasper died in 2023, my heart was broken. It was my first pet that I had ever lost. It was one of the hardest times of my life and I truly didn’t know how I was going to overcome such immense grief.

About a year later, I stumbled upon Beary’s adoption page (see last photo). It was definitely not in my bingo card that year to adopt an 11 year old dog, but I also thought, what a better way to honor Jabby than to get another old guy like him?

I drove 4 hours to pick this guy up and the rest is history. To know beary is to feel his love. This guy has the biggest heart (a whole heart condition to prove it!!) & being his mom has brought so much joy and healing to my life.

Happy gotcha day and 13th birthday month, Bear Bear. Thanks for letting me know you.
