POSTS STORIES REELS

Been destined this one around the world and it always delivers.
‘Dopest Crew’ officially out today on @this.moment.ofc .

Two groove-driven club records that came together as ideas outside the studio, from an Ibiza after-party with friends to a kitchen table in Toulouse France.
Thanks to my brother @iamsheff for jumping on the vocals bits last minute.

Made in the moment, finished for the dancefloor. Turn them up.
@maxi__waxi thanks for the kitchen table 🤣👍🏻 by @sergedevant

10 years. Three films. One continuous story.

What started with ‘Fearing Love’ grew into something much bigger, continuing through ‘Solace’ and ‘In Your Mind’ with the same characters, the same actors and a story unfolding in real time.

Over the next few weeks, I’m going to take you behind the films, the ideas that connect them and how this story came together over more than a decade.

Let’s start at the beginning. by @sergedevant

Long-time friends, finally cooking up something special together. 🔊

Sheff and I are bringing ‘Dopest Crew’ to This Moment next Friday, with my solo track ‘Toulouse’ on the flip side. Very excited to finally get this release out into the world.

Pre-save it now. 💾

Part Four: In Your Mind.

With this chapter, I wanted to take the story in a different direction.

After all these years, he finally finds her again, but holding on to the past is stopping him from moving forward. This time, it’s less about trying to find someone else and more about finding peace within yourself.

The idea that happiness is something we have more control over than we sometimes realise became the foundation for this final chapter.

And while the ending might feel familiar, something has changed. He’s no longer the same person he was when this story began.

But is this really where it ends? by @sergedevant

Studio with the best view !! Can’t beat that , where you can take a swim between laying the vocals .
What a place ! Tune started to sound wicked too ❤️ by @sergedevant

Part Three: Solace.

When we made ‘Fearing Love’, I never imagined we’d return to these characters more than a decade later.

It was the lyrics “I Found You” on the chorus of new record “Solace” that sparked the idea. What if they crossed paths again, but only one of them remembered their past?

We brought back the original actors, letting those ten years become part of the story, and picked up where we left off in New York.

He finally found her again. But what’s next? by @sergedevant

It was my mom’s 80s birthday a few weeks ago, and I didn’t know what to give her. Material things didn’t seem to have much value at that age, and I felt like I’d exhausted most ideas. I’ve always thought experiences make better gifts.

She loves classical music and a fan of André Rieu, so when I saw he had a concert in Switzerland, it seemed like a no-brainer—a birthday trip together.

We only had a week, but managed to fit in lakes, mountains, countryside and city life, finishing with his concert in Zurich. It was a dream 💭 and I would strongly recommend to do the same if you have the chance.

I hope this post inspires some of you to give your parents the gift of experiencing something new together. Trust me it’s the best gift you could give. If your parents are getting older, take the time and plan something. It doesn’t have to be fancy. Just spending time with you is already enough.

Now, a pro tip: for those who say it’s impossible to get them out of the house, I have a trick that works 100%. Don’t even tell them about the trip, because they’ll say they don’t want to go anywhere—like my mom did for years. Book the hotels, get the flights, then send them the itinerary and make sure all the prices are there, (You could always make fake receipts) 😂 Most importantly, tell them it’s all non-refundable. Trust me, they’re going anywhere you want them to go at that point. Thank me later. 👊🏻

OUT NOW: ‘TOULOUSE’. 🔥

The second track from the ‘Dopest Crew’ EP release has landed.

This one started around a kitchen table in France while travelling, with nothing more than a laptop and an idea. A day or two later, we had ‘Toulouse’.

Once the ‘Fearing Love’ record was finished, it took a while to figure out what the concept for the video would be. We played with a few different ideas and finally settled on the ‘Memoraser’ concept, a company that could delete memories from your brain at your request.

That idea had intrigued me ever since I saw Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

We built the story to fit the short running time, made sure the visuals matched the lyrics perfectly and left the ending open for people to interpret for themselves.

There was no plan for another chapter, and definitely no plan for where these characters would be more than a decade later.

At the time, ‘Fearing Love’ was simply its own story. Turns out it wasn’t quite finished. by @sergedevant

First time I tested this track was at Bret in Amsterdam.

This is exactly the kind of energy and reaction you imagine when you’re making a record. When you get it on the first run, it’s usually a pretty good sign to stop fucking with it 😂

I’ve enjoyed this one for a while now. Time to let it out into the wild @iamsheff . Stream / download link in bio by @sergedevant
