Moonlight & Árbol de Vida: When Mixology Meets the Mediterranean 🌙🍸

At @alkkemistspirits , we believe a great cocktail is more than just a drink — it’s an experience.

Moonlight is one of the most iconic cocktails created with Alkkemist Gin to date. A refreshing liquid with delicate sweet notes built around Muscat grape and elegant citrus touches, capturing both the visual and aromatic essence of our gin, with a freshness that truly reflects the Mediterranean spirit. 🌊

On the other hand, Árbol de Vida offers a more playful and surprising combination: Alkkemist Gin, fig, almond liqueur, and a distinctive touch of lemon verbena. On the palate, it reveals the purest characteristics of Alkkemist: floral, herbal and fruity, flavors deeply rooted in the Mediterranean landscape. 🍇

Both creations were crafted at @ayahuma.javea in Jávea, on the Mediterranean coast, by the talented team of Carlos, Victoria and Thomas.

We are truly grateful for their passion and the outstanding level of mixology they are developing. Collaborations like this celebrate not only great cocktails, but also the creativity and culture of the Mediterranean.

After being inspired by so many incredible creations, the time has come to discover who will take the final step in the Mediterranean Challenge.

Our finalists will bring their creativity, passion and unique interpretation of the @alkkemistspirits universe to the final stage.

I THINK THIS DISTILLER IS A WEREWOLF. 🐺🌕

He only distils under a full moon.

I mean… what else am I supposed to think?! 😂

Most distillers are happy to fire up the still whenever they fancy.

But this guy?

He waits for the full moon. 🌕

Which obviously raises some very important questions…

Is there some ancient distilling secret behind it?

Does the gin taste better by moonlight?

Or does he simply grow fur if he tries to distil on a Tuesday? 😂

Whatever the reason, I absolutely love it.

Because THIS is what makes gin fascinating.

It’s not just the botanicals.
It’s not just the bottle.
It’s the wonderfully bonkers people and stories behind it.

And yes, I will be asking him about the full moon.

Some moments are simply meant to be remembered. When passion, creativity and craftsmanship come together, something truly magical happens.

The @alkkemistspirits Cocktail Competition took place at @loca_riccione – It was more than a competition. It was a gathering of extraordinary talent, where eight exceptional bartenders transformed their inspiration into cocktails that captured the soul of the Mediterranean.
