Serichai Traipoom (@serichai) is a photographer and a co-founder of SoMad living in New York City. They are a queer, first-generation of an immigrant, Thai-American. They received their BA in Women & Gender Studies from Hunter College with an speciality in Gender & Sexuality and their MFA from the School of Visual Arts in Photo, Video & Related Media. Both their personal and professional practice has always been centered in reifying those who have been marginalized, underrepresented, or misunderstood.

As a photographer, Traipoom supported themselves during school working as a nightlife photographer. “Kyle doesn’t need any f*cking music to dance” was made in collaboration with Kyle Farmery (@kylefarmery in vintage @muglerofficial 💁‍♀️) as a visual celebration of queer nightlife in NYC.

Come see Seri’s work tomorrow at Mad Pride. Tickets in the bio 🎟️✨ taken in SoMad.NYC by @serichai
