It's still a little crazy to me that learning a game I thought looked fun somehow turned into an actual business.

Serving Up Mahjong has brought me new friendships, some pretty incredible opportunities, a house full of Mahjong stuff I definitely didn't need…and a whole lot of fun.

And somehow I get to call teaching people to play Mahjong “work.”

I'm pretty lucky.

We had such a great time teaching Mahjong 101 at Sunshine Tienda the first time that we’re doing it again!

Join us Wednesday, September 30 for another evening of shopping, sipping and Mahjong in Gruene.

We’ll kick things off with private shopping, complimentary drinks and 15% off your Sunshine Tienda purchase from 5:30–6 PM, followed by Mahjong 101 from 6–9 PM.

Fall Mahjong League is almost here!

One of my favorite things about Mahjong League is that it’s the perfect mix of friendly competition and just getting to play mahjong with a great group of people.

We’re kicking off our Fall Evening League at Tacos Y Tequila in Gruene on Wednesday, September 23!

We’ll play six Wednesday evenings this fall, with over $900 in prizes from our amazing prize sponsor, @humbleoakco

Come for the mahjong. Come for the competition. Come for the tacos and tequila. And definitely come for the fun.

Sofia and I had an adventure a few weekends ago…I was in Corpus for the weekend for my tennis team little state tournament starting Thursday. Jason and the kids came for the weekend as well. Adrianne told me that Ella Langley was playing in town that Friday night so I had to figure out a way to get us tickets and surprise her! I told Sofia our tennis team party was Friday night at a country themed place so dress up cute for the country themed party. When Jason dropped her off to me at the hotel, she saw ladies wearing Ella Langley shirts and said mom, look! I told her she was in concert in Austin the night before and I was sad I couldn’t take her! Then, we were walking over to the “party” down from our hotel and there were a ton of people outside. That’s when sofia said, mom, there’s sure a lot of people here for this tennis party. That’s when I recorded the video of me surprising her.
We had so much fun! And she was genuinely surprised! What a precious memory! Love you my sweet Sofia!
