✨📚My Top 3 favorite books/series 📚✨ - the Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer 🌲 - A Good Girl’s Guide to M***** by Holly Jackson 🔎 - Better Than the Movies by Lynn Painter 🍿 • I will always recommend these books to my friends, family or anyone wanting to give reading a try! 🫶🏻 • Three different genres that tell three different captivating stories. ✨ reading each of these for the first time was truly incredible and made me remember why I fell in love with reading so much. I’m so happy to have a place where I can share my love for reading and writing with people who love it just as much! • I also want to say that reading is ✨subjective✨. My 5 star ⭐️ book might be someone else’s 3 star ⭐️ and vice versa but that’s OKAY. 🤍 one thing that makes reading so magical is that each book speaks to each reader differently. Some people may find themselves relating so much to a certain character or story and others may not connect with that story/character at all. Books are truly an adventure because you never know which ones are gonna make you feel happy, sad, adventurous, inspired etc! ✨ •If you’ve read this far, thank you. 🫶🏻 I can’t believe I’ve already made so many friends on this page and am so close to 300 followers 🥹 I’m truly so thankful 💕 this post will complete my “meet the bookstagrammer” series and I’m also excited to start back posting regular content again! I don’t think y’all understand just how obsessed I am with this book! I absolutely adored EVERYTHING about it!!!! 😍 Verdella (Dell) Rodgers is our FMC who we follow along with from the very beginning. We get a glimpse into her life early on seeing her thriving in her career as a chef at the hottest restaurant in town, plus her very high profile engagement to the mayor’s son. She’s quite literally at the top of her game, when all of a sudden… everything changes as she wakes up one morning (a week before the wedding!) to find herself… unalived!🤭 Which brings us to, the ever charming (albeit slightly clumsy) Cole, a clerk in the Afterlife Administration! He learns all too well that he had made a grave (pun intended) mistake when he realizes he mistakenly reaped the soul of a young woman who is very much living her life to the fullest, instead of the correct soul of a 95 year old woman sharing the same name. This makes for the most entertaining and enjoyable plot seeing these two come together to navigate this accident. While we get to see Cole and Dell team up to try and figure out how to return her soul back to her body before it’s too late, we also get even MORE out of this story! From a crazy realization, a budding steamy romance, an emotional story tethered to Cole and his past-life on earth, and an ending for the ages… I don’t know how this book could be more perfect. One of the most beautiful, emotional, and tender storylines paired with my favorite kind of paranormal romance (afterlife/grim reaper/ghosts)! I feel like you really got to know Marygrace getting to see through the lens of her life while also seeing what each of her relationships entailed. I loved getting to learn about Marygrace’s family traditions and the Filipina culture as representation is so important! 🫶🏻 It was such a special experience watching our FMC discover herself more with the turn of every page!
