Who actually owns your club, and does it matter?

I mapped the ownership of every Prem and Champ club looking at their financial performance to see if there is a link between ownership types and performance. Club size turned out to matter more than the type of owner, and money from finance and insurance funds half the Prem.

Full article on Substack, link in bio. Which ownership model would you want for your club?

Who Owns Rugby Pt1 out tomorrow on Substack. Where does the money come from? No surprise that it's mostly from finance and insurance (the latter plays a major role in rugby from Howdens sponsoring the Lions to the Prem sponsored by Gallagher)
