What do young Nigerians actually want from politics?

What issues matter most to you? How do you engage with politics?

The Nigerian Youth Barometer (NYB) is measuring youth political participation, voting behaviour, political preferences, governance priorities, and political sentiment across Nigeria.

If you’re 18–43 and living in Nigeria, your voice belongs in the data.

Take the survey. Link in the bio

In your early 20s there is a real fear of failing at life.
You are new to almost everything: the workforce, relationships, experienced, expectations.
It's so easy to limit yourself to what you know and not venture outside your comfort zone.

Can you relate to these fears? What are some fears that you had? by @setemiii

We sang, “We are the leaders of tomorrow.”
Tomorrow came. Somehow, we are still waiting for tomorrow.

Nigeria has become good at *including* young people symbolically, youth programmes, summits, ambassadors, panels and certificates without necessarily entrusting them with consequential power.
It wasn’t always this way. Young Nigerians once helped shape the political future of the country without waiting to be invited.

Read the full article as Bami Olajide @bamiolajide_ examines how Nigeria is Infantilizing her Youths with their permission , and asks what happens when young people become comfortable waiting to be handed the power they could claim for themselves.

Omoyele Sowore is an activist, journalist, and three-time presidential candidate. With a controversial reputation across Nigeria’s political spectrum and a socialist-leaning outlook on governance, he is once again asking the electorate to consider his political vision for Nigeria ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

How much do you actually know about Sowore?

Our latest article, part of our Road to 2027 series, takes a closer look at his background, politics, and ideas.

As Nigerians prepare for the 2027 general election, it is important that we are informed about the individuals aspiring to lead our country.
At CitizenSquare, we will be publishing a series profiling presidential aspirants, with a focus on their political backgrounds, public records, and previous public offices held.

Your vote matters. So does knowing who you’re voting for.

I did A LOT of research before visiting Singapore and all the research pointed to the food and cafe culture of the city.
I had a list and I hit almost all the spots and tried almost all the food on my list.
My friend came for the attractions in Singapore, I came for the food.
While I don’t regret it, please I want my eba and soup 😭😭

Question for you, what’s the most interesting thing I ate in this video? And can you eat it too? 😅
