Warning: Do try this at home. Like, a lot. Get really good at it, and then send us pics of your fish.

What do @jonforeman and Steve Irwin have in common?

A few years ago, I went to the Australia Zoo by myself. Walked around for hours with my stoke meter fully pinned. Every bit of the place oozing wonder, passion, and conservation. Then, to top it off, his son popped up to do the afternoon croc show.
After the show, I got smacked in the face with emotion. Multiple men I look up to in life had recently failed in life and tarnished their legacies. But here’s a man, the childhood hero, that lived a life with his foot on the gas and left a legacy that’s living and thriving long after he’s gone. It can be done.

This weekend, I had the opportunity to emcee a concert out at camp for Jon Foreman. He showed up hours before the concert ready to have fun. So, we went to the top of the property and hopped in a tank while a storm rolled around us. A giant rainbow popped up in the sky and the day was rowdy. He was down to clown with any adventure.

The stories preceded him, and they’re all true. Every fan he met got his full attention. He doesn’t want to just give them a second, but a MOMENT with a MEMORY. Some girl wants to sing a song with him? They’re singing two. You have a song request? He wants you to share a story with the song.

Passion, stoke, and humility. Neither of these men are perfect. But they live life the way I want to live it. by @sethfry
