One of my favorite hidden gems in @unionhallmhk, remnants of the original Lamson vacuum tube messaging system from the Keller's Department store that used to reside in that building. Shown here is the terminus that would have been in the original office overlooking the store. New video from @skullandspade13 where he restores a delivery basket from the same company reminded me of it. Different technology, same company, same era. by @sethgali

And it's back together again! And it plays! Mind you, it played fine before I took it apart, but it still plays in spite of my messing with it. Replaced just four pads, only ones that were torn. And I remembered how to do that too! So now she's shiny and clean and playing at least as well as when I got her. Super happy with how it turned out. I don't have a nice studio spot for photos, so you get to see it on my messy bench. Little video at the end to show off the engraving. Now I need to work on my soprano skills.

I am the very definition of "just enough knowledge to be dangerous". Got the upper and lower stack on without too much head scratching. Still a lot of adjusting to do.
