NEW SINGLE: I’ve been playing Rachmaninoff’s cello sonata for about 20 years now and it was important for me to finally record it. What is bittersweet is that I suffered a heart attack in August 2025, and halted finishing the album. With the help of my medical team I was able to return to the studio this past Fall to finish what I started with my long time duo partner Andrew Rosenblum. Tackling this work while trying to find my way back to my body was no easy feat, but I’m glad that today I can share the iconic Andante movement from this sonata that means so much to me. STREAMING EVERYWHERE and I’d love for you to go listen to what we created. Also long ago I promised my childhood friend @ktb2012 I’d finally record this for him. This is for you Kris. I’m still spinning upward and trying to make sense of all of it, but for now I just want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to @nyphilharmonic @nypmusicians , composer @njoachim , conductor Thomas Wilkins, my manager @mwittenbergnyc at @intermusicaltd @hausmuzak also at Intermusica NYC and everyone I had the chance to connect with on this recent trip. Also a HUGE thanks to @zaidfarouki for designing all the looks I wore. So powerful. So happy, so full, so grateful. I couldn’t have asked for a better time. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Onward. Photos by @chrisleephotonyc for NY Philharmonic. #sethparkerwoods #nathaliejoachim #hadtobe #pirastroartist taken in David Geffen Hall by @sethparkerwoods

It’s always a special feeling to play a new piece of music to an audience for the first time. Thank you to BSO Composer Chair @carlos_simon_music for giving us your new Double Concerto, and thank you to @violincase and @sethparkerwoods for playing it so beautifully.

Two more opportunities to hear this new work in performance, alongside some beautiful melodies from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker. The amazing musicians of the @bostonsymphony and I hope to see you at Symphony Hall!

I owe this brilliant human so much. He was so pivotal during my previous life in Belgium and I still carry so much of the ideas and creative work I did during those years with me today. Here’s to the brilliant @tom.pauwels.6090 #ictusensemble taken in Perruche. Bistrot du coin by @sethparkerwoods
