TW: mental illness, health anxiety

I recorded this recently because the song popped into my head not too long ago and I felt called to sing it. I struggle with schizophrenia and complex post traumatic stress disorder and am now having health issues with my stomach and pancreas because of the stress I think it puts on my body. I used to chain smoke and lost my voice for a while but I’m trying to get used to this new voice. I often get tired and sad of hiding my issues. People are very misinformed about mental illness. We are still capable people but we have unique struggles that are different than everyday stressors. It’s important people stay informed about mental illness and the effects of complex trauma. Singing tunes out the negative voices I hear yelling and arguing every day. They sound very real, and the ripple effects of the paranoia and delusions are real. I hope you resonate with this in some way. I will not hide anymore and neither should you. xo 🖤✨
