Latest horse painting finally completed. My mom has wanted me to paint horses for a long time — for luck purposes, I guess. So here it is.

A collector once asked, “Why do I need a hyper-realistic painting when there is photography?”
A fellow artist answered, “For the effort, the time, the person has put into it.”
But that made me think — why would a collector need to understand her effort? It’s not like he is her family. And that day, I realised that a painting should tell a story that touches someone’s emotions, or radiate the very emotion the artist felt while creating it.
And for me, the answer was music.
So here I am, presenting my first biggest soft pastel — born from music and created in @mattchessco style, but with my own desi soul.
Thank you, @parampara_maharastrachi, for inspiring me to bring these wonderful work to colour. ❤️
Maybe art isn’t about making someone understand how much effort went into it.
Maybe it’s about making them feel something. @women_in_art__

Happy Ganesh Chaturthi. Please watch this reel and the painting in full volume.

PS : May Lord Ganapathi save flood affected people in Nepal 🙏🏻

Original soft pastels Inspired by a friend’s photograph, I was drawn to the monk’s vibrant presence and quiet grace. I imagined a landscape that reflected the serenity he carried within—a peaceful horizon, sunlight breaking through the clouds , and each gentle step taken with intention. This painting is my reimagining of that moment, where inner calm and the beauty of nature meet.
