More frames from Daystar Leadership Academy 2026.🤍

I can’t talk enough about how much I love music.☺️
I may not listen to music all the time, but there’s something about it that pulls me in, especially when I’m reflecting, editing, or trying to figure out exactly what I want an image to say. Sometimes, all it takes is the right song to put me in that zone.✨

And that’s what made documenting these moments truly meaningful for me. Hearing these teenagers pour themselves into the music, watching the different ways they expressed themselves, and seeing the dancers bring that same feeling through their movement made me want to connect with the music and let that connection come through in my work.

I didn’t just want to take pictures. I wanted the feeling behind the music to come through in the images, so that when you look at them, you can almost feel what was happening in that moment.✨

I’m glad I was able to capture that.😊

Documenting the Daystar Leadership Academy 2026 was such a beautiful experience for me.

Beyond it being part of my work as a photographer, it felt like a privilege to serve and preserve moments of learning, growth, and transformation.

Seeing things I had imagined in my head come to life was such a lovely experience. There’s something really special about that.

There are many things I don’t fully understand about love.✨

But I know this, Love has a way of changing the atmosphere of a room. It softens faces, lingers in stolen glances, fills quiet moments with meaning, and somehow makes time feel slower.

Maybe that’s one of my favorite things about photography, simply noticing.☺️

Retroflux: A Regency Love Story wasn’t just a ball, it was an evening of elegance, laughter, beautiful conversations, and people dressed like they had stepped out of another era.✨

I’m glad I got to preserve these moments.

A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of documenting @cogsayr.africa summit 2026, focused on advanced bioinformatics and innovation for students and early career researchers.

Beyond my role as a photographer, this experience was deeply personal. As a medical student on the path to becoming a doctor, documenting doctors from across Africa and witnessing how they think, learn, and engage with new ideas gave me a fresh perspective. It made the documentation process smooth, meaningful, and intentional.

For the first time, I documented professors and doctors from my own school, people I had always known strictly as teachers. Seeing them as students, listening and actively growing, reminded me that there is no finish line to learning not in photography, and not in medicine.

It was also a lovely moment for me because it challenged the narrow idea of what an “ideal” medical student should look like. Many were surprised to learn that I am both a medical student and a documentary photographer, a reminder that growth doesn’t have to be limited to one path.

This experience stretched me. I didn’t just document an event; I gained value, impact, network, and meaningful connections.

Grateful for the opportunity to document, grateful for the people I met, and grateful for the perspective gained. 😊✨

Healing Hands That Endure!🥹✨

Today in the clinic, the doctor in charge said something that struck me, she said “the doctor’s role is invaluable, no matter the pay.” This title, Healing Hands That Endure, is especially dear to me.

Doctors push through stress, fatigue, and the weight of exhaustion. They stand for endless hours in surgery, spend long hours clerking patients, and often sacrifice their own rest. Rarely do they have enough time for themselves, yet they continue to show up. Despite being underpaid and worn out, they still extend their hands to heal, to comfort, and to serve.

It is a quiet strength, a silent sacrifice, an enduring commitment to patients above self.

If this isn’t the definition of selflessness, I don’t know what is.✨

My visit to the oncology center with my colleagues @the_troizeanz21 left an indelible mark on my heart.🥹

Witnessing the courageous faces of individuals and families navigating the darkest moments of their lives was a humbling experience. 💪✨

As we shared words of encouragement and stories of survivors, I saw hope rise within them.😊✨
Their eyes reflected a renewed sense of purpose.

As I photographed these remarkable individuals, I felt their pain, their fears, and their resilience. I sought to convey their stories with sensitivity, dignity, and love, acknowledging the trust they placed in me.😊✨

Beyond the injury: Unveiling the strength of the Human Spirit📸👩🏽‍⚕️

During our community medicine posting @the_troizeanz21 , we met incredible individuals at the Spinal cord Injury Association of Nigeria(SCIAN). Their stories sparked a desire to give back to society.
We returned after our exams, volunteering our time and resources to:

✨ Clean the facility, creating a safe space for rehabilitation
✨ Donate essential items, providing comfort and dignity to members
✨ We emphasized the crucial role of regular physical activity to maintain muscle strength and flexibility
✨ Balanced nutrition to support wound healing and overall health

The association's impact is remarkable:

✨ Customized rehabilitation programs for independence and self-care
✨ Skills training and education for self-sufficiency
✨ Advocacy and awareness initiatives to shatter stigma and discrimination

Through my lens, I saw resilience, hope, and determination. Let's continue breaking barriers and promoting inclusivity for spinal cord injured individuals!
